  1. When we sailed on Harmony from Port Canaveral in September, there were separate lines outside the terminal based on arrival time. They were only letting specific time slots into the terminal so as not to overwhelm security and check-in. Imagine if all 5500+ guests showed up at once! When boarding started (around 11:30am-ish) they did have priority boarding for suite guests, Key and Diamond and up. Then they boarded based on arrival time.
  2. We've recently ordered room service on Royal. They offer a free continental breakfast for room service, but charge $7.95 for hot breakfast and other meals.
  3. I'm sure if they met they'd be the best friends!
  4. Our cabin steward made a bear towel animal to join our furry travel companions.
  5. Early traditional dining time varies by ship. On Independence it was 5:30pm. On Harmony it was 5:00pm.
  6. When we were on Harmony in September, I think we grabbed breakfast sandwiches one morning at Park Cafe in Central Park. Not sure if Cafe Promenade had them.
  7. I typically keep an eye out for price drops up until final payment. I will call NCL to have the price adjusted on my reservation. After final payment, I focus more on price drops related to any submitted upgrade bids. If the category comes down enough I'll pay for the upgrade outright.
  8. Our first NCL ship was the Jewel, after sailing our first two cruises on Royal. It got us hooked on NCL's freestyle cruising. We've sailed on many different NCL ships, but love the Jewel class ships. For us, they are the perfect size and have all the amenities that we want.
  9. Can you check in your NCL reservation online? If you scroll through the Vacation Summary you should see your free at sea internet package. When we booked our 14-night cruise a couple years ago we got the 500 minutes too, but it was only for one device. We recently upgraded our cabin and it changed to the newer free at sea internet which is 300 minutes for two devices. We lost a specialty dining too, which was a bummer but we'll survive.
  10. Lower price on one cruise and paid for an upgrade on another. The upgrade had dropped $500 with the sale.
  11. I don't recall how long ago I installed it. Maybe something has changed to prevent new installs.
  12. The Royal app runs on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 running Android 9.
  13. A fantastic list of excursions! Are they all through NCL or are some third party?
  14. I paid to upgrade from an oceanview to a family suite on the Dawn less than 28 days before sailing.
  15. We will be sailing out of Tampa later this month (Terminal 2, I think) and are thinking about using the Valet service. Do you know if they park the cars in the garage or if they use an outdoor lot?
  16. I saved $600 on an upgrade for a cruise later this month and $230 on a cruise for 2023.
  17. Great advice! Prices dropped today on my Nov 27 Dawn cruise. I upgraded directly with NCL from an Oceanview (OA) to Family Suite (SP) without balcony for $1100 total. Well worth it for a 14-day cruise.
  18. We've stayed in a J4 junior suite on Independence, close to the elevators, and never noticed any noise from the elevators.
  19. There is no fancy dress code in the Haven restaurant. We won a Haven bid in January and wore shorts in the restaurant both day and night...no problem. You will love the Haven!
  20. As others have stated, 100% is based on double occupancy.
  21. Yes, back to 100%. Our Harmony sailing on September 11 had 5500 passengers.
  22. I had the same problem when booking online. I had to call to make the second set of reservations.
