  1. Like the way you give us the good news before the bad! Great to hear that Piraeus no longer require a negative test - we join the Quest there in just over 4 weeks and were trying to decide how best to organise tests. One less thing to worry about now. Just have to worry about how many Schweppes to buy!
  2. Went to Aysgarth Falls today. We were surprised how much water there was, given how dry a summer we have had in the UK.
  3. Same happened to me just now, just keep going back to the login.
  4. Just having a couple of nights in the Yorkshire Dales, staying at Leyburn. We went for a walk this afternoon towards The Shawl - a limestone escarpment overlooking Wensleydale with glorious views. Leyburn is a lovely little market town. We were delighted to see that the local council are using this lovely old building as the local library.
  5. It was about 50 days for our upcoming cruise.
  6. That would be very helpful - we embark in Athens in 5 weeks!
  7. Before COVID you could do that on Azamara, but now the ship has to have a deep clean.
  8. I agree with the comments here. We’ve had meals in Egypt both on Azamara tours and on independent tours too. Never had a problem. Just make sure you drink bottled water or other bottled drinks that you open yourself or see opened in front of you. It’s also probably better not to eat salads like lettuce that may have been washed in tap water.
  9. You can buy any of the Essentials packages before the cruise and they can be very good value if you want/need all the elements. If you add the individual prices up you can save a lot.
  10. Tidy jeans are fine - not distressed ones though. I would wear nice sandals, but not flip flops.
  11. Thanks for this, I have deleted it from the spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Deg-GaeZYLml8NN3PVwoh_jUkQ8QmYUe1wxnVAlODE/edit
  12. Sign into your account using the link at the top of the website. If you haven’t already registered on the website, you will need to create an account first and then add your cruise to it.Once in your account, look at your cruises and click on Plan my Voyage for your cruise. At the top you will see your OBC, so long as it is non refundable OBC provided by Azamara. Travel Agent OBC will probably not show up until embarkation day. Azamara provided OBC should also show on your Azamara invoice.
  13. I assumed she would be responsible for recruiting & managing the cruise and hotel directors (or the equivalent, but you could be right).
  14. Not sure Heike would be onboard, her role looks to be at a higher level!
  15. I am reposting the link to the spreadsheet from time to time to save people having to search through the forum to find it. It comes with a health warning that much of it was compiled pre COVID and pre Sycamore. It’s only as good as the people who post here, so do please post any changes you come across. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Deg-GaeZYLml8NN3PVwoh_jUkQ8QmYUe1wxnVAlODE/edit
  16. I thought the prices were very mixed. Caribbean cruises looked very reasonable, but some of the Mediterranean ones were very expensive. Interesting that their prices are per suite, not per person.
  17. As far as dinner is concerned you may have to wait for a table for a short time, depending on what time you go to Discoveries, but as there’s a very nice bar there (Discoveries bar) you can sip a drink while you wait.
  18. She was a wonderful woman who absolutely fulfilled the promise she made at her coronation to do her utmost for our country. I remember the coronation as a child and saw her close up when she came to open the Humber Bridge - my daughter was a member of the Brownie guard of honour when she got off the train at our village. Somehow I, and I think many others, thought she would go on forever.
  19. There are breakfast cards in your room that you can fill in and leave on the outside handle of your stateroom door. You can order as much or as little as you want. We order tea and fruit juice for our room.
  20. You can also get the train from Rome to Civitavechia (port for Rome). The station is not too far from the port, and there are taxis available. Much cheaper way of doing it.
