  1. I will start thread..pls ask those on your group to list creaky cabins!. We are past final payment for our AQ cabin.. hoping for the best!
  2. loved the children..esp the girls with holiday dresses and fancy sandals..
  3. My husb smokes a cigar daily.. If the weather cooperates, there are several covered and open outdoor areas he can visit..depending on the ship.. One space on E class is near the hamburger place, has nice tables & great views.... Perhaps not as nice as it used to be when Michaels was a premier cigar lounge but times have changed... There's no reason for choosing sides here as X has tried to accomodate all... esp with it being smoke free inside the ship.. I was astounded they tried to slip vaping into the casino area...but that went away quickly along with the choc chip cookie stand!
  4. my next door neighbor in Fl..has quite a selection but will go crazy when I share these photos... i love the ferns too!
  5. is the custodial parent of each child going on the cruise.. i believe that's the issue but has become confused
  6. We are usually in AQ Class/ BLU since the time it was introduced. Usually quieter, more personalized... They are willing to place dressing and sauces on the side; less salt , fat and sugars. Love the breads and pre dinner spreads... We liked it much better than Luminae on Beyond Sometimes the menus can be boring (lots of birds) so we make arrangements for the MDR...or Specialty Dining...In Jan in Ascent, we'll be in BLU but have 3 or 4 nights planned elsewhere. Breakfast are very nice too..we trade off with the Elite lite bkfst and go once or twice the buffet for fresh waffles. Hope you enjoy it!
  7. Amazing! in Fl we are near a place called Selby Gardens,( Sarasota) World famous for Orchid cultivation and display.. but this is truy exceptional...huge!
  8. as usual, good advice! perhaps add a clause authorizing consent for any needed med treatment or meds..check with atty!
  9. been there many times, but it was fun to see it through your photos! always an easy fun day..! thanks for sharing!
  10. we are booked late Jan Ascent for Eden, Rooftop and Fine Cut, and will try Cafe Bistro and Raw on 5 if we can..but assigned to BLU Def will report back..but dining is subjective.. We would not order pork sliders..
  11. cool..congrats. we'll see you on board! no one organized a cabin crawl but maybe Sal and I could take a peek! We're in AQ class!
  12. we are trying it again on ASCENT despite our awful experience on EDGE awhile ago.. Slowest kitchen with several chefs and only 3 tables in use. Those who came after us and had dinner salads were served first..We only got apps in our first hr there. We were on our way out when our burgers finally arrived..mgr begged us to stay and comped the meal..but by then it was too late to enjoy..not the waiters fault.... Hope better on ASCENT!
  13. maybe they could just require a drs note or a copy of one's handicap parking sticker for scooters....and def a brief hands on instruction by the rental company??? They are essential for those who need them, but some are used otherwise... racing thru the long passageways to EDEN on E Class.. def a hazard for pedestrians.!.
  14. same for us.. now we check the account daily on the tv system..but prefer a paper bill at the end..
  15. The filet mignon and baked potato looked good. What basic wine could we get up there with the Classic Alc Package?
  16. sounds like a good price for the 10 day pass...if one plans to use it ! our booked cruise on Silho is a short one so hoping we can go once or twice???
  17. two great CC " bloggers" on the same ship! Should be a treat!
  18. fortunately most of our cruise experiences are quite positive.. this one was not!
  19. it can get tricky to have them apply the credit afterwards.... we did it while in a Ca port..which led to a local tax and big mess. ..To make it worse, the maitre d in Tuscan on Infinity refused to believe we had a discount...had to go back to our rm for proof. and then he spent the entire dinner calling people to verify that we were not liars!. Entire dinner was a shambles..we then cancelled ALL our other specialty bookings! We pre book our dinners with our cred card and take that discount..then we use the 15% disc for lunch or anything new
  20. i think the irony is that it was Catalina Island, great port for a day tour. But can't hurt to be reminded...
  21. We enjoyed Coco Cay in its natural state.. just another Coney Island now! We would would actually now prefer Labadee..still some nice trails and natural spaces
  22. show up at 5:30..worst scenario is you will wait til they open...
