  1. Bar Harbor is not reliant on cruise ship traffic for tourists. There are plenty of tourists there without the cruise ships.
  2. That's the airport. Too far from the port.
  3. Baggage drop off will be closer to the door, then you will need to get in line to get inside. Just note that Lot C is not the official port parking lot. The official parking lot is at 93 Fargo Street and offers a shuttle.
  4. You will need to get your current agent to release the booking.
  5. You do not have priority disembarkation at ports, only when you disembark the ship at the end. Though, if tendering, you will get priority tender.
  6. For the excursion, you will go to a waiting area on the ship and be brought down to the tenders together. I would assume that if a vehicle is for 4, you get 4 tickets.
  7. It's probably a bit late to book for that week.
  8. Just keep in mind that unless you fly out to a glacier, any sled dog tours will be done on a wheeled sled. If you're in Skagway, if you take a tour into the Yukon that stops at Caribou Crossing in Carcross, they have sled dogs and puppies there.
  9. Technically, the food needs to be in factory sealed packages, especially if you are going to take it off ship, where allowed. Once the bag is open, it needs to stay on the ship.
  10. I believe Stevia is available. No bottles, only cans.
  11. I suffer from back pain. Fortunately, I've not needed a scooter on a cruise, yet. I once rented one going to Disney. At one point I got stuck in the middle of a crowd with nowhere to go. Fortunately, someone else carved out a path for me and another scooter user. I only lasted two days before returning it. My point, you wouldn't know looking at me if I was a scooter rider if I needed it or was faking it. Back when muster drills were done on deck, I'd go to the handicapped area since I can't stand, packed in, that long. Heck, the first time they saw me coming a little hunched over and directed me there without me saying anything. I try to be courteous to those in a scooter. I'll hold the elevator, etc. But for those that decide just bumping into me will get me to move versus a polite "excuse me", all bets are off.
  12. According to njtransit.com, there are 412 parking spaces at that station with a permit required for night/overnight parking. So I'm guessing not the $4 a day. IMHO, if you aren't going to take Amtrak from Philly (which would be my first option if I had to go from Philly to NYC), I'd just bite the bullet and park at the port. The parking is on the roof of the port and is secure.
  13. There are no car rentals in Bar Harbor itself. You might be able to rent one of the electric mini cars at the port, but that's it.
  14. Hopefully you are flying into LGA (LaGuardia NY) and not LGR which is in Chile.
  15. Yes, after leaving your luggage with the porters, it will be brought to your stateroom.
  16. Thank you for not bringing food off the ship.
  17. Virgin provides a hammock on the balcony. Otherwise, I would expect that these aren't actually allowed on board.
  18. Technically, the free dinners are assigned to the person who has them. Also note, that the kids menu is the same kids menu across the whole ship, not a special kids menu per restaurant. Assuming you got the SDP as part of the free at sea promo, in all honesty, for that cabin I would forego the promotion. Use the money you are saving on the gratuities for the package to pay for grandma a la carte.
  19. You would need to buy a 2 device package.
  20. Please move to either West Coast Departures board or Canada/Northwest board.
  21. Unfortunately, CC roll calls aren't as popular as they used to be.
