  1. Just to note that Cucina and Chibang are only complimentary the first time. If you wish to eat there again there is a charge. These restaurants are part of the anytime dining experience until 7:30 or so. If you have traditional dining, you can't get in until after that.
  2. Should be no issue with an 11. You might consider taking the Silver Line from the dockyard area direct to South Station, or just Uber.
  3. I remember reading one review from a Hawaii cruise that since most people get rentals, the shuttles will only allow the driver on, with the intent they return to the port to pick up their passengers.
  4. Generally speaking, there are no rollaways or cots on the ship.
  5. I believe the pools are solar heated.
  6. I wish they had provided better instructions to the internet. All you do is sign up for the premium internet as if you will be charged, but it will be cleared that night by the computer.
  7. If possible, let your waiter know. If your excursion runs late, don't worry about it. I would also let them know that if you aren't seated by 10 minutes after the doors open, they can just assume you made other arrangements.
  8. Unfortunately, since there are so few of these on a ship, you need to book extremely early.
  9. You will be charged the gratuities if you select those perks.
  10. The next question, which I think is more important, is it legal to use such devices in Bermuda?
  11. They'll sail close enough for a pilot boat to come out to get the paperwork signed that they went to Victoria to satisfy the PVSA. While rare, it does happen that a ship can't dock.
  12. I have cruised both lines (granted my last Princess cruise was 10+ years ago) and I can't find any reason why someone who normally cruises Princess shouldn't cruise Virgin. Just as long as you go in knowing that it's different. While I enjoyed my Virgin cruise, and would cruise them again, I found that I prefer the more "traditional" style of cruising with a MDR and not just restaurants.
  13. While not necessarily required, I would also require the friend have a passport.
  14. Only Celebrity can answer this. The other concern is what happens if Victoria is missed?
  15. Carnival has Bubbles (soda package) or Cheers (pretty much everything, limit of 15 alcoholic drinks).
  16. Generally, Princess Mini Suites are more like an extended balcony that includes a couch. Princess standard balcony cabins (on most ships, possibly not on the newer ones) do not have a couch. I believe all Carnival balcony cabins have a couch.
  17. Yes, sounds right. There is a chance the specialties will be doing special menus for the holidays, that are not yet determined.
  18. Your insurance at that point was probably a waste of money. To have pre-existing conditions covered, you need to purchase within a week or two (depending on the policy) of initial deposit for them to be covered. At the time you bought the insurance, his Lymphoma would be considered a pre-existing condition. Carnival will usually allow the change of a passenger, but there is a fee.
  19. If there is a sauna in the lockerroom, that.
  20. I believe you meant to post to your roll call?
  21. Prepackaged foods must be factory sealed. Things like granola bars/etc. I wouldn't bring meat or cheese.
  22. I wouldn't book concierge just for the lunch. It's really nothing to write home about, but it's nice to not fight the buffet.
  23. Unfortunately, you can not completely decline service. Besides the fact that your steward can get in trouble if your cabin is spot checked by the supervisor, they are required to check each cabin every couple of days.
