  1. I’m seeing $27.99. It’s been $27.99 for quite a while except during Black Friday and Christmas.
  2. I have never booked and then requested an extension during it. I am thinking they have a set amount of time they spend on each part of the body. The swedish couple massage is the one most are familiar with. I love the hot stones massage though. That's the one my wife and I usually get.
  3. Yes, but you still need to do your online check-in 45 days before. I believe you can arrive up to an hour before your check in time.
  4. Well I got shot down by Saltwater Moms. They told me they do not tie up 2 SUVs for 6 people. She also mentioned she will be out of town the day I asked about and that made them even more limited.
  5. Dang you are right...sigh. We have six passengers and for 2 small SUVS (3 in each), it's $65 x 2= $130. That's cheaper than $29 x 6= $174. I'm going to ask about that.
  6. Just an update. Apparently, Saltwater Moms only takes 5 or less passengers now. Their previous driver, Stephanie, started her own business and she takes less than 4 passengers, and more than 5 passengers. Her business is Space City Moms and she can be reached through Facebook too
  7. Our flight doesnt leave Hobby until 3:30. Are there any suggestions (no rental car or car) for a family of six (no children) for a few hours after we cruise back to Galveston? We could go straight to the airport, but I figure we don't need to be to the airport until 1:30 or so. It's also wishful thinking but besides a lyft or a car service, I'm not sure of what our optons are either. Thanks in advance for advice!
  8. I usually get 2 bottles in morning and 2 bottles in the evening. Depending on where I get it, they may give me 4 (2 for me, 2 for my wife), but I noticed it depends. and I have gone during the day to get another bottle here or there. We always take water off the ship for our excursions, but most of the time on the ship, we use the refreshment package for sodas or fresh squeezed orange juice.
  9. I can see asking for things not on the menu not being available anymore. I usually look at the nights menu before going to the MDR and if nothing is appealing, I do not go. My wife has dietary restrictions and allergies and she always orders the following days meal before we leave dinner the nght before. I don't usually ask for what they don't have, but I will ask them to make my meal a certain way. Or change a side to another side from the menu. They have been pretty accommodating.
  10. Thank you! That was very kind! He mentioned Best Western, Texas City being around $85 a night. I think he's going to book there. He asked if Lyft was there best option in the morning to the pier. I believe so.
  11. Yikes...Red Roof Inn is $349 a night and Quality Inn is $289 a night. I'll have them check out Houston, League City, and Texas City. Appreciate your help!
  12. Thank you! This is helpful. I hadn't considered Houston to be an option. I will have him check out Red roof inn and Quality Inn.
  13. Thank you. I have not heard of League City or Texas City. I know Houston is near the airport so I am not sure they want to be that far away, but if it's in their price range, they may do that. Thanks again!
  14. sure...apologies....August 26, over night, cruise leaves August 27. I
  15. Hi there. My brother booked a hotel in Galveston at the Holiday Inn Express Galveston Beach for $235 a night. Well, now he and his spouse have treated the in-laws with a free cruise. They are paying for airfare, hotel, and the cruise. He is now looking for a hotel that is cheaper since he now has to pay for 2 hotel rooms. They plan on arriving the night (saturday) before their cruise on Sunday (Galveston, Allure of Seas). They are flying into Hobby airport. Can anyone share good options? He is looking to spend between $100-$150 a night for each room if that's possible.
  16. Maybe two separate lines. One for those with boarding times which is prioritized and the other for others who prefer to ignore the boarding times and try to get on board sooner. Maybe boarding times have 10 agents while those not following boarding times get 1 or 2 agents. That might be fair enough. Regardless you will have people who just choose to do whatever they think they can get away with. It really comes down to no one enforcing the rules. That's what it is that causes the chaos
  17. What C and A tier gets robes? I'm Diamond and I don't recall ever seeing them unless I was in a suite
  18. What is the most reliable transportation from Galveston hotel to port? Is it a cab? Lyft or Uber?
  19. There was a long thread about this a few months ago. Only suite guests should use the suite line. There was a debate if the RC rep has no problem with it or says its ok, and some folks here said it doesn't matter. Just wanted to share that.
  20. As long as your wife doesn't have a problem saying no, it's pretty simple. My wife felt bad saying no and paid $200 for stuff. She said she felt pressured and I said, "did you say no?" She has seen me say no. I politely say no, I am not interested and I have never been pressured beyond that. I told her, "see how easy that is". She said she felt like a chump LOL. Now she politely says no and that's it.
  21. Thank you for that. I wondered about the deluxe package.
  22. Thanks everyone for the information. They can scan from your app? My brother will be happy about the diamond lounge.
  23. oh ok. I haven't been on a ship with a comedian (with a dedicated comedy lounge) in a long time. I was thinking it would be 2 or 3 comedians spread out throughout the week. Thanks for clarifying for me.
