  1. Hello, Sorry I was not clear. We can make any number of changes of ship or date (or both). We can only make one change to the current booking to achieve a lower price. Regards, Cublet
  2. Hello, Once, and only once, on Indy I was asked whether I wanted to book under US or UK T&Cs. Regards, Cublet
  3. Hello, UK payment terms are 70 days prior to sailing. I don't understand comment about deposit - it's usually £150 pp with no reduction for booking on board or £99 'special'. Not sure about cancellation fees but if booked on board UK pax can make unlimited changes FOC until final payment date. Regards, Cublet
  4. Hello, What is more I think Brilliance was then owned directly by RCCL UK. It would be nice to have two ships again offering different itineraries. I was counting-out my collection of FX in prep for my April Cunard & MSC and have tons of Icelandic that I need to use-up before any of it ceases to be legal tender (as happened with some of my Norwegian Kroner last year). Regards, Cublet
  5. Hello, On Vitruosa in the summer the upper limit is £14 (fourteen pounds). The PE package cannot be used in 'signature venues'. Regards, Cublet
  6. Hello, That is what I got out of it. I can only presume that someone booked using a place of residency that was not really theirs and then something arose and a claim for benefits was made that were not available in the place used for booking but was available in the true place of residency. RCI are saying "you can't have it both ways". That's fair enough but RCI needs to train its muppets that different areas have different benefits/rights in term of booking T&Cs and US rules are not universal as they are the only ones the agents seem to know. I took photographs of the slides of a NextCruise presentation that saved friends £300 for booking changes that the US/Guatemala agents insisted were due, but not according to the NextCruise presentation for UK pax. Regards, Cublet
  7. Hello, Once upon a time, Brilliance was 'run' out of the UK. Regards, Cublet
  8. Hello, My TA has sent me this (along with another 35 pages!): Regards, Cublet
  9. Hello, I fear I may have rejoiced too soon. From the 'home' page, if I go down from 'On Board' > 'Dining and Drinks' > 'Drink Packages' then the PE package does say it can be used in specialty restaurants. However if I go to my booking then go to add a PE package as if I did not already have one, then that page says it may NOT be used in specialty restaurants. I think it's sloppy to say the least that there are two versions of the same page live at the same time. I have sent this to MSC but don't expect a direct response. Regards, Cublet
  10. Hello, Whether it was my email to MSC or my TA but this morning the wording on the PE package now says: "*The Premium Extra Package can be enjoyed in our bars, buffet, main restaurant and specialty restaurants as well as on private islands, but does not cover our signature venues." Now only the Easy, Alcohol Free and Minors' packages that may not be used in specialty restaurants. Yippee! Regards, Cublet
  11. Hello, This reminds of the joke I heard many times in OZ when I first moved there: How do you know that a plane load of Poms has landed at the airport? Because the whining goes on after the engines have stopped. Regards, Cublet
  12. Hello, I think MSC are taking lessons on inept/contradictory web design/content from RCI. I have my original booking confirmation details AND boarding confirmation details both saying my PE drinks package can be used in specialty restaurants, but not signature ones (sailing later this month). However the webpages 'Packages > Drinks > PE' says it cannot be used in a specialty restaurant. This used to be the case for the lesser packages so, being charitable, someone just cut and pasted the T&Cs across all the packages - maybe? What I also have, back in the days of the €13 limit on PE drinks, is a bullet point that says: ENTIRE SELECTION [my emphasis] of wines and champagne by the glass. I'm a bit miffed that I have been sent an upgrade email for the first of my B2B but not the second. Regards, Cublet
  13. Hello, Costing is a science, pricing is an art - albeit a 'black art'. The 'art' is how much you think you can get away with before the customer base revolts. Clearly RCI thinks it can get away with charging the Aussies whereas it cannot get away with charging Americans. And don't get started on the filet! What it does here I cannot say as I don't do fish. Regards, Cublet
  14. Hello, Well in my case it's flavoured and sugar free. Regards, Cublet
  15. Hello, Anyone wanting a drink in CK on Quantum class (other than wine) will have it delivered from the Windjammer. Regards, Cublet
  16. Hello, The 'experiences' seem pretty thin and are mostly around booking flexibility and discounts apart from the Aurea spa experience. 'All-in' prices are independent of the 'experience' - see my post above. Regards, Cublet
  17. Hello, When booking MSC, at the outset you are offered a choice (and price) of 'room only' and 'all-in' though the 'all-in' does not include wifi - that is an extra. Regards, Cublet
  18. Hello, I am on a B2B out of Southampton later this month. I cannot remember what the procedure is for B2Bers on changeover day, even though I did it last year. Can anyone that has done same recently please remind me? Regards, Cublet
  19. Hello, I booked 5.30pm for 14 nights. Regards, Cublet
  20. Hello, Don't forget the SS Great Britain - once upon a time the largest passenger ship in the world! Regards, Cublet
  21. Hello, I've just got the Cruise Ticket for the first of my April sailings. Whilst my original booking paperwork for the PE Drinks package said up to 13 somethings, this new paperwork says up to 14 somethings AND it can be used in specialty restaurants. Regards, Cublet
  22. Hello, I have been invited to bid for a number of YC suites. They come with the PE drinks package, but I have already bought one. Should I be successful with the upbid, will I get the purchased PE drinks package cost refunded? Regards, Cublet
  23. Hello, I don't know how he got past all the security etc but a guy at the next check-in counter said to the agent that he had no paperwork just a booking number as he booked the day before. No problem said the agent. This was pre-covid - though I don't think that is significant. Regards, Cublet
  24. Hello, There is one aspect of this fiasco that has not been discussed - where you can use your package. My PE packages for 2 x April cruises this year can be used in Specialty Restaurants according to my booking details. However, should I book a PE now (from 'My booking' area for the same cruises) it says it cannot be used in specialty restaurants even though the general 'On board, Dining & Drinks, Drink Packages' it says that you can. My TA has told me that MSC has picked-up lots of waifs and strays from RCI's redundant staff and I think this proves it. Regards, Cublet
  25. Hello, And chemicals in them (for cleaning). Regards, Cublet
