Thankfully it works smoothly for a lot of our users, but sometimes certain configurations on our users' phones cause unforeseen issues and you seemed to have hit some.   2. I got a funnier story. Opened chat at10 AM. 17 in front of me. 10:15. 1 in front of me. (multiple yes's). Had to leave. 2 hours later...still asking me if I am still there...yes. In the meantime, I called Ocean Navigator. After an hour fighting with him to remove the items in my cart (not sent) and remove the $10 charge....and begging him to connect me with a supervisor, he hung up on me.
  3. Ice sculpturing was interesting, but very crowded (hard to view). Artist/crew made a mistake...oops and had to modify on the spot.
  4. There must be a lot of ships in port (or tides are low). They will get the ship turned around in time. Hope you are flying in a day early. All aboard will be 2pm We were delayed due to weather and pallets of water still being loaded.
  5. Once, on a short cruise to nowhere, my cabin mate and I decided to hit every “seminar”. We even made it to the ice carving. One and done. Art auction with Princess Fine Arts was enjoyable. Now they make you register. Free art packet not too bad, but what will you do with random prints that you would have to spend $$$$ framing? Arts and crafts used to have good crafts. Mostly origami paper folding. Some port talks and a few enrichment lectures may be watched in your tv. Princess has some interesting speakers.
  6. Same for me tonight. Ordered Medallion on New App since I could not do it on Old App. Got charged (Plus Package). Tried to cancel. Pop us says I had to call Princess to cancel. Spoke to agent who cancelled but did not offer to place or for me for free. Said their is a glitch since it worked for a friend of mine (when her roommate got charged). Go figure. Option: Pay the $10 and get reimbursed on the ship. Maybe returned to CC, maybe refundable OBC, maybe non-refundable OBC. Maybe not going to happen at all. No, Princess will not get my $10 to hold for several months.
  7. Ordered medallion. Charged $10 (with Plus). Tried to cancel....duh...have to call Princess. Fortunately, foreigner John picked up right away and cancelled. Received confirmation. Said...its a glitch. Said that I would be refunded on the ship (not going to let them have my $10 with the hopes of ever seeing it again). Sam thing happened to friend. One roommate was charged. She cancelled order and then did it. Went through with free shipping. Princess' IT department needs some overhaul. Does anyone have the email address for IT (ocean ready) help desk?   8. Mac allows you to open a document (PDF or preview) and has a tool for making black bars with x imbedded. You highlight information you don't want seen and magically, it is redacted. And saved as a PDF.
  9. Book excursions online pre-cruise. Pay with OBC They will not deduct excursion until you are on the ship and cut tickets. After you go on the excursion, 10% OBC will show up on your account as Non-refundable OBC. "Zac" sent me a non-cookie cutter email. Waiting for him to respond to my latest email. Hi. xxx - unfortunately there have been a ton of emails back and forth that have crossed paths and led to a lot of confusion on both sides. So I'm resetting to make sure we have got everything sorted out You submitted a claim for reservation xxx departing xxx This has been approved Are there any other claims you need to submit?   10. Most Hawaii houses do not have heaters. Pull out the sweatshirts and blankets. In CA...my comfort zone is 74 to 78 winter or summer.
  11. Took the leap of faith. New app did migrate my information from the old app, but definitely not working well. Wants to charge me for shipping Medallion ($10). Is that default and I have to get reimbursed on the ship? Will it go away? If I hit place order, will the charge disappear? Dining reservations only available for 2 weeks out of cruise. Can't do Crown Grill on first night. Can't see excursions purchased or even choose additional ones. Can't see any other future cruises. I'm sorry, I did not read all the previous pages. Only downloaded to ipad not phone. Can't see port information.
  12. Boarding begins at the same time as other ports, begins between 11 and noon. You may leave after checking in and muster station procedures. The jet way will be open from the night before until you sail away (45 hours). There will be waves of passengers as flights, buses, trains arrive. As far as I can remember (last summer), same door for incoming/outgoing. There should be a shuttle that takes you to a "bridge" that leads into the bottom of old town.

  14. I necklace would be cumbersome getting on and off the ship since it has to be tapped. I would opt for the bracelet first. There are many air tag holders that will work with the medallion. I have one I use with my watch band.
  15. I refared for a cruise this summer (before final payment). Kept EZ Air fare. TA sent new invoice with new fare and same EZ Air.
  16. I beg to differ. Our "winters" can be cold (low 70s) in the morning. A collapsible umbrella may be useful. We just had flood warnings for a Kona Low (south storm) for all the islands. We have beautiful rainbows (anuenue) because of morning showers. Umbrella, light rain jacket, sun hat, suntan lotion, a wrap for the ship, leggings or pedal pushers (are better than jeans), To top it of...all restaurants and stores are very air conditioned (cold). I even saw/felt hail at the Volcano National Park in March.
  17. Already "spent" the OBC on excursions. lol. Still showing up until I actually take the excursion...with 10% back in OBC for elite.
  18. You need to give Victoria a break. She is on vacation and mom thinks she is doing her homework in the library. Don’t give her an excuse….another passenger “ate” my homework.
  19. Haven’t been on Royal class ships. Grand/Gem ships have: a full promenade sofas outside Explorer’s lounge Shywalker A lovely “lobby/living room” in the middle of deck 6 (near the Crown Gill, excursion desk, travel consultant office) on the Caribbean.

  23. @philv Thank you for the details. Unfortunately, I am not as trusting as you. I filed for Shareholder OBC by attaching redacted statement to app. Huge learning curve for me.
  24. Step 7: Tried to login to Princess. That’s a whole other issue. Some of the time I can using Safari. If that doesn’t work, then Chrome. Sometimes neither. User/provider error? Agent I spoke to told me it was them/Princess. Lots of technical difficulty issues for a week now. Within minutes, OBC was on my payment page. I really had to work hard for this OBC.

Finally found page to click on redeem for Princess to fill in all the required information (name/date/voyage) 5:37 pm OBC Benefit Submission Acknowledgement Congratulations!
