Navigator of the seas left LA yesterday. You are probably correct, she will shelter in Ensenada for the night before heading back to LA. I'm not sure I would like to be on that cruise. Received my email folio charges on August 17. Got off the ship on August 4. Fortunately, it matched the print out I asked the Customer Service Desk to give me the night before. There was one kiosk that was working. I prefer the "nicer" paper one and since I was at the desk, it wasn't a problem to request one. It is one of the best advice anyone can offer...get a final copy BEFORE you leave the ship.

I have a cousin who lives near Tokyo. Even he says that summer is not the time to visit Japan. The locals don't do much during the summer. Their "summer" vacation is around Cherry Blossom Time/Spring. That's when schools are out and travel is at its peak. This is a cousin who grew up in Hawaii (mild and humid) compared to Japan HOT and humid. I was there in the Spring. It was so delightful with temps in the high 70s. If you have a choice, avoid summer travel to Japan.

@LawDog61 Thanks for the updates. You are "so close" to Ensenada. I do hope all goes well for the Emerald and all of her passengers. The latest is that the hurricane has accelerated and going to arrive earlier than anticipated (Early Sunday morning). The "good news" is that she is tracking slightly more east.

If you get the upgrade, and your traveling companions are not in a Club Class cabin, they will not be able to dine with you in the Reserve Dining Room.

Departed FLL in July. No suite offsite lounge was offered to me. Hotel shuttle took us to port. Wove through the queue to get to the suite/Elite Lounge. First to board (after in-transit). No escort. Ordinary boarding experience.

My opinion. The app is/was over-rated and promised miracles. Now that it can’t perform to its optimum, the enhanced it to make it even more appealing. Princess needs to through the baby (JP) out with the bath water. Princess…NOT Loving This. Page 33 and 551 posts. I have not read all of them, but my general consensus is that many are not happy with this change. Any chance of it being retracted?

If you are sensitive to motion, picking a cabin near the bow would not be recommended. I always go for middle of ship-lower deck. You might get more advice if you named the ship and the itinerary. Some voyages are rougher than others.

I am waiting for some one to chime back in. You have to call Room Service to change out your Elite/suite Minibar. Calling Room Service incurs a $5 charge. My last steward said he would do it for me since I was having a hard time (called 3 times) for Room Service to do this (pre-charge). I do not want to add one more thing for my steward to have to do.

You can bring back tangerines from Korea. You can bring back Japanese Sponge Cake that is packaged. You can bring dried scallops and abalone if you find it. You "should" be able to bring back food to the ship, but that would be very port specific. The big question would be...can you take it off the ship when you leave.

@Steelers36 Tiramisu has not been in the IC since the restart. It was actually better than the one in the MDR. Smaller and enough to satisfy the palate. @ceilidh1 I am hearing more and more passengers complain that they are unable to book the now included specialty dining (Crown Grill, Sabatini's, Kai sushi on the Diamond, etc). Win win for Princess. Offer but can't fulfill. Money in their pocket. I didn't see the new "cakes" in the IC on my most recent cruise.

Doesn't matter any more, but thank you for your response. I won't be dining at Alfredos unless I have a plus package. So there is where my IC tiramisu (for free) went. I will remain forever confused with these changes. $14.99/$5.00/Old Plan/New Plan/Suite/Elite... what am I covered with .... So many questions. So few answers.

@Steelers36 I can see the Alfredo menu working on Royal Class ships. Would you still be charged $14.99 for JUST pizza on the Grand Class ships that don't have the option for an expanded menu or will the new menu be across the fleet. Should have eaten on the Grand when I had the chance. I really "did" like their pizza.

Anxious to hear if they are charging standard Elite passengers for changing out the minibar.
