  1. Thought I already posted this. Sorry if it’s a double post. I had a somewhat similar problem and it resolved itself a few weeks later without my doing anything.
  2. I had a similar but not quite the same problem. It eventually resolved itself without me doing anything.
  3. I received one early like that as well. I had the money and just went ahead and paid.
  4. The drink package you asked about includes lattes, cappuccinos etc (except at the special chocolate venue). Also, bottles and sparkling waters and fresh squeeezed orange juice, and soft serve. Apparently they charge for soft serve now. This may make a difference in your decision. We’re getting the drink package with the free drinks and wifi promo. It was very reasonable that way. I don’t think we would come ahead if we had separately bought the Easyplus package.
  5. When I booked online (Fantastica) I got to choose a preference of early or late dining. It is not guaranteed
  6. We will be on that sailing too. Our first MSC cruise as well. We love MDR dining though.
  7. Just a simple tip for newbies. Make sure you are on the MSCcruisesusa website. I have accidentally gone to another country’s MSC site before.

  9. It apparently auto populates it all except the state. Hopefully it doesn’t matter.
  10. So I noticed on my cruise documents that everything is correct on my address except that the state is left blank. I went back to the check in page and it won’t let me add it. The only boxes that let me enter info are address and zip code. The other boxes won’t drop down. I tried on Lyons tablet (iOS) laptop (Edge and Chrome) it’s all the same. So does it matter? Can I just write in FL on the boarding pass after I print it out? It is a Nov. Meraviglia cruise out of PC. I used the MSC USA website.
  11. Question? Divina doesn’t have access to the MSCforme app, right? Meraviglia does. So can I check my folio on the app on a Meraviglia cruise? It seems like lots of cruisers on the 10/13 cruise knew they had wrong charges before leaving.

  13. If you have a chance you can look at Parodeejays YouTube channel. On their latest vlog they had some nice snorkeling at the Yacht Club beaches.
  14. So here’s my happy ending after a minor bump in the road. I called a cruise concierge as opposed to customer service. He was very nice and explained that I can use that Fantastica 1 cruise change and all of my money converts to the new booking. I can use that money to book a different category of cabin if I want. If the new cruise costs more I pay the difference. If it costs less I get the money back. BUT….since I booked on the website he doesn’t have access to waive the $200 change fee. I’ll have to call customer service and go that route. (If I originally booked through him he could’ve worked on it). I call customer service and the man who answered did not seem to know what he was doing and unfortunately I couldn’t understand his accent. I tried really hard but eventually had to tell him I needed to call someone else. I felt really bad. The next day I called and the rep. said the cruise I wanted to change to was not eligible. He said the rebooked cruise had to be within 3 months AFTER the original booked date. (I figured 2 weeks earlier was still “within 3 months”) So I said thanks and ended the call. I called the concierge back because he said to call anytime I had a question. I asked him if what the rep. said was true. He didn’t think so and put me on hold to check. He came back on and helped me rebook the cruise. I just had to wait until later that day for him to call me back as his supervisor needed to waive the change booking fee. So now I’m going on my cruise a half a month sooner. I still have free drinks and wifi. Best of all I went from an interior to an obstructed view balcony for less than $2 more! I logged out of my MSCforme app and logged back in. The new cruise is showing! Lesson learned! Use a TA or at least a concierge. If I book again I’ll contact this concierge for sure! I owe him one!

  16. So I have a cruise this December. I am paid in full, interior Fantastica. It would be better for us to go in November. The cost on an interior Fantastica for the Nov sailing is much less. Will I be able to use the difference to upgrade to a Balcony? A Fantastica Balcony right now is just around $2 more. Or do I have to stick with the same cabin category?

  21. So I thought I would put some good new on. I’ve heard lots of people have problems getting status match. I just status matched my husband and it took less than 24 hours to hear back! Of course we are bottom level so that may have been why it was so fast. We just want the 5% off in case we cruise in the future. Maybe even late August. I doubt we will ever get to a higher tier on any cruise line/hotel so we figured why not status match now.
