  1. I can highly recommend Rima Beach World in St. Maarten for shopping. You can spend hours there, and they have tons of things, souvenirs, and beachwear clothing...all reasonably priced. You will probably have to take a cab to get there, (it is quite aways downtown) but it is a fun store. I think we walked back. https://rimasxm.com/. Well, I *think* we walked back. We made it about three quarters of the way back. And I was way too hot. A lady cab driver stuck her head out the window and offered to take us back to the ship for $5. I jumped in immediately. Bill was confused, I just told him to get in. ☺️
  2. Especially since you will be boarding at the Pan-Am pier, not the pier in Old San Juan.
  3. I love your trip photos and commentary, Harry! There is something strangely interesting and compelling about seeing other people's vacation photos on the computer. When we first signed on to the internet in 1994, with Netscape on our Compaq computer, the first thing we looked at...was a stranger's vacation photos to Mexico. And then for several years, we received emails and vacation photos from movie director, Hal Needham. We didn't actually know Mr. Needham, but it was fascinating to see him and his family and all of the interesting places they vacationed. I did finally write to him and tell him that we were not the intended recipient. 😊
  4. Isn't that a weird feeling? Walking in sand after hip replacements feels like your legs are getting sucked off. I can't do dry sand anymore. Wet sand is okay. And I know what you mean about getting knocked over by the surf! Quite the surprise, the first time it happened. Boom! I was down and clutching the sand as the wave went out. I stood up and was immediately knocked down again. I had so much sand in my bathing suit, I could have made my own beach. I asked my hip surgeon about it, because it was so unexpected. He said, didn't I mention that? We kind of destroyed your core muscles, when we put the replacements in. I said, No. And can I get them back with exercise? He replied, Hmm. No. Probably not. 😊
  5. Wow! That is beautiful. And heavy. 😊 (Your curtains look like our curtains...with kitty rub marks all over them πŸ˜„) That is interesting about the granite. Amazing how they can do that. Thanks.
  6. I'm curious. If granite is a natural stone, how can they tell that your countertop will look like the showroom sample? It is really pretty. Do they just have a lot of quarried pieces with the same brown veining in them? We just went with quartz, so I'm not sure how it works with stone. Yours almost looks like marble.
  7. We just went with Global Entry, which includes TSA Pre-check. It doesn't cost much more than just pre-check. We had planned more out of the country travel, but that hasn't quite worked out yet. ☺️
  8. We had the UDP on Navigator, and Johnny Rocket's Express was included.
  9. Before Lyft and Uber were allowed, we used Galveston Limo both ways. It worked out very well. We stayed on the seawall at the Hilton, so we could walk to the grocery store and several restaurants.
  10. Thank you @pstone1 I love wildlife photos. It looks so interesting to see penguins in the desert. We are so conditioned to think of them in the snow. ☺️
  11. It used to be available in the MDR after dinner. But I don't know if they offer sorbet anymore. It would not surprise me if Royal Caribbean offers ice cream now, instead.
  12. Link to companies and info: https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles/how-to-rent-a-scooter-or-wheelchair-for-your-cruise
  13. Speed Queen washers are highly recommended work horse washers without much in the way of electronics. They apparently last forever. I think we may replace ours with a Speed Queen, the next time we are in the market.
  14. Try removing your C&A number on the website in your profile, and then typing it back in. That seems to work sometimes.
  15. That is kind of a lot of people. Happy New Year. Thanks for the photo. ☺️(they look like moss. <jk>) Because there are so many people with the green lighting. That is why Bill wanted to see Kenny Chesney at a smaller venue in Lake Tahoe. I can definitely see why now. I am way over arena shows. Too many people. πŸ™„
  16. That stinks. We had that problem on a SW flight from New Orleans. We went to lost luggage at OAK, before we left the airport, and they brought them the next day to our home. That is surprising that they lost it on a direct flight, though. πŸ™„ I keep thinking more about air tags. I hope they are recovered and returned soon.
  17. It is a balcony discount. They are few and far between anymore, because if the "Flash Sales" and other RC discounts are more, it does not show up. You can compare by putting in your C&A number (which will give you the larger discount) and not putting it in. I don't have the C&A discount list handy.
  18. It's only 6 PM. We are having Dungeness Crab! Previously frozen, but they look better than the so-called "Fresh" ones that we bought on Thursday. ☺️
  19. It is a very different world now, Len. And way too crowded for us. We will watch on TV. Jeremy Renner is supposed to make an appearance with Anderson Cooper. He has made an amazing recovery in just a year from his horrific snowplow accident. Our neighbors went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade a few years ago. Same stringent security measures. They watched for a while, and then went back to their hotel to watch it from the hotel and on TV. (With a bathroom. And heat. And adult beverages.) ☺️ Happy New Year to everyone!πŸŽ†
  20. Happy birthday to Pam and great cruise to you both! Happy New Year! ~Patti
