We are doing a Baltic cruise soon on Azamara. Their ships are fairly small, about 700 passengers. I know the itineraries for next year have St. Petersburg on them, although doubtful they will actually go there.

Azamara also does British Isles and Ireland cruises.

So sorry about the problems you had at Solarium Bistro.

Yes, that is true, some embarkation ports do require testing. We are leaving from Copenhagen, which does not.

It would be helpful if Azamara updated their cruise documents to reflect the fact that they no longer require pre-cruise testing. Our documents for our cruise became available today and still mention that pre cruise testing is required. Very frustrating that they are not accurate.

We are sailing on Azamara the end of August in Northern Europe and just got an email about this. Certain embarkation ports , (not where we’re sailing) but Athens and some of the Asian and Australian ports still require testing. I’m very happy not to have to get tested when I get to Copenhagen.

I was happy to read this. It just relieves the stress of having to get tested when we get to our embarkation port. I will bring at home tests for myself if I have symptoms.

We went to the Tattoo when we were on the Journey in 2019. We followed the advice that uktog gave us about getting the bus back to the ship. It was very easy.

Interesting to read about Viking. One of the reasons we did not choose Viking for an upcoming trip was the daily testing. We are booked on an Azamara cruise from Copenhagen in August. I hope the pre cruise testing requirement does end before then, just due to the added stress of having to arrange for a test. We will take a test at home before we leave for our trip, but that doesn’t fit in the required Azamara time frame.
