  1. There is only one way to "maximize the amount of money". And that is to give the staterooms to the highest bidders. There is no other way to achieve that state.
  2. I just switched it to an aft facing. I like being able to watch the sea pass below. I don’t want to just stare at bow for 2 weeks.
  3. lol. I might. Maybe a pirate themed deal, yeah?
  4. I’ve been watching that Room Upgrade button since I downloaded this app last year, waiting to see anything other than “We’re Sorry. We Have No Available Room”. Well today’s the day. I put a bid down on a foward Penthouse. I bid the minimum, so I’ll never get it, but BOY what a rush of endorphins huh? Only weird thing, now when I go back in to my app it says Norwegian Sun departing from Socotra (Yemen). Quite a ways from the Canaries. I’m going to guess that’s just a mistake because my itinerary looks the same as what I reserved.
  5. How many of these Purely Conjecture Parties are we going to see come and go on this subject, I wonder?
  6. It’s the same people giving you the demonstrably bad advice that you don’t need to match your checkin name with exactly how it appears on your passport when booking into NCL’s Air and Sea program. And they gleefully spray this bad advice all over every thread that brings this topic up like Rip Taylor with a bag of rainbow colored confetti. Ignore them. They are babbling about something they’re just confused about. It doesn’t matter whether anyone knows someone at TSA or talked to someone at the airline or met some guy whose friends know people at homeland security. What matters is what NCL tells you their policy is: “Name changes or correctionsAll guests must provide their complete legal name exactly as it appears on their required travel documentation. If your full legal name(s) does not reflect correctly on your cruise confirmation, please contact Norwegian Cruise Line at 1800-327-7030 or your travel advisor immediately.Failure to provide your correct complete legal name prior to final payment, will result in a nonrefundable change fee of $150. Flights booked without your complete legal name exactly as it appears on your required travel documentation may result in denial of boarding by the airline.” https://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/airsea If you used your middle name, or you called yourself Richard instead of Rick, or you can never remember the correct spelling for Smith, look at your passport, then put what you see into your Norwegian checkin form.
  7. And which studies were those? Because you know sometimes people just like to use terms like “studies” and “research” without actually having read any of it, and just try throw verbose alphabet soup in everybody’s eyes just hoping nobody has an actual abstract to counter their argument. Not sayin’ that’s you, just sayin’. Since you said “there’s studies out there” it could really make your case to link to two or three of them. Especially since you claimed to have access to “a larger number of studies”.
  8. South America, I’d say your PCP is on to something. Or as Fanny Brice used to say, “Shouldn’ hoyt!”
  9. You want us to second opinion your Primary Care Physician? You haven’t even said anything about where exactly it is you’re going, in the off chance there really is an immunologist casually viewing in the crowd!
  10. Yes, but you can see 16 OTHER people clearly as well. Soooooooo...... Who's laughing NOW?
  11. Gay men pack like that, too. My husband is never amused.
  12. You're the person that, when the time does come to spring for a cruise, has the whole thing all planned out with flawless detail. Respect.
  13. You mean "Guess what YOU end up doing..."
  14. So is it the actual sound of a foreign language that causes you so much distress as to effectively boycott a cruiseline? Or is there something specific about certain languages that prevent you from just ignoring the announcements you don’t understand until you hear one in the single, only language you do understand? I presume you understand than when you spend $12,000 on a Mediterranean cruise, you’re going to be exposed to foreign cultures, and that would include hearing how they speak. Some people consider that part of the cultural experience they paid all that money to have.
  15. The port exists, but on the website there’s a link for “2 more port cities”. Or at least that’s how it looks on my iPhone. But when you go through the itineray inside the cruise it’s all there. Volo is the last port before the debarkation stop.
  16. And this excursion is on NCL Jade, not Star. Very weird. It has to be some kind of site glitch, like they’re updating that itinerary or something. I just went in to your cruise to click around and the links just hang up.
  17. You potheads are never happy, I swear.
  18. Well, well, well. How’s this for a coincidental turn? https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/10/06/statement-from-president-biden-on-marijuana-reform/
  19. Most airlines allow one carry on bag and a laptop or purse. So if you’re flying you’d have to consider that.
  20. Curious, why can’t both parents see all of their children on their app? It’s a closed circuit.
  21. If you get prescribed a slow release med patch you don’t have to prove it’s a 30 day or a 90 day or a 2 day supply. You just have to produce a prescription for it, and adhere to the instructions on it.
  22. Although it was a while back, I didn’t get exposed to any of that merchandise sales crap at all. Most of that stuff is in Selcuk a couple miles away anyway. And even if the tour does try to drag you through a carpet demonstration you just walk off and catch up with the group when they leave.
