Does lower or higher in that last aft boardwalk balcony deck make a difference in the view?

We prefer Boardwalk balcony as far aft as possible. We watch the Aqua Theater show from our balcony, we can see the ocean and activities on the climbing wall. Look for a TA offering group rates. We also like that those near the rear cabins require some walking to get to. We do get some exercise in!

No, Oct 29 Barcelona to FLL.

We never had problems booking 5 or 7 night before either, being flexible on times. But on a recent Symphony 14 night TA it was crazy. There were days that no specialty restaurant had lunch or dinner openings. We only lost out on 1 specialty meal, but it took working on bookings every day.

Since the TA?

We're just back from a Barcelona to FFL TA. We spent 4 days in Barcelona prior and loved everything about it. We stayed at Hotel Lleo, booking a year in advance to get the free bkfst buffet and pay when you check in. It's only a few blocks from the main square and La Rumba (sp?), with many great tapa bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Enjoy!

Ours on Symphony were well trimmed, thinly sliced delicious beef. If sometimes too rare, just for well done and the server will pull another piece from the warmer.

Agreed but we still prefer BW balconies to watch the activity below and to watch aqua theater shows. We use a white sound app on phones to mask the noise if the events run late.

Read your post again please. It sure sounds like you tip when "sadly" others do not, so they "smile and wave" when you pass by. No implied but stated in your post.

So book an outside balcony! No need to rush to the "old people's cruise line" before you have to. We enjoy aft Boardwalk balconies to be able to see the activity below, watch kids master the climbing wall and to be able to watch Aqua Theater shows from our balcony. Oh, and aft cabin means that its easy to get your steps in. At least half the time we are walking the entire ship when we go to the cabin.
