  1. Not sure about that "younger" thing. We are just back from a 14 night TA, Barcelona to FLL. There were a fair share of younger people and more children than I would have expected on a 2 week cruise with only 3 port days. I think Royal appeals to all ages.
  2. I'm rushing to book a cruise on this ship. I've been trying to loose 10 pounds for years, but cruise too often for it to happen.
  3. I hide my sunglasses, jewelry, hats and such so the cabin attendant can not use them on the towel things. I wish they would stop spending time making those since they have so many cabins now.
  4. We did a 14 night TA recently for $1300 for 2 in a boardwalk balcony.
  5. Scopped ice cream with many topping choises was available every evening in the Windjammer on our recent 14 night Symphony cruise. Check there.
  6. We were recently on a TA on Symphony. No menus were repeated, but worse IMHO, was some of the dinner menu options seemed odd for a cruise. The first night was very positive: good menu choices, ample portions, great service and no problem with ordering extras. But dinner menu choices from there became mostly odd choices. We had a 7 night specialty dining plan, so just ate in the Windjammer or had pizza the other nights. (Specialty dining reservations were hard to come by--my wife spent a lot of time every day trying to find times earlier than 9pm at any of the choices.) Hibachi at Izumi was excellent. We also were new to Park Cafe, so we enjoyed the roast beef sandwiches, soup and/or salad a few days for snacks. Chops was also excellent, as usual. (Issues a couple times with steak being done properly, but staff was happy to make it over correctly.) We have always preferred Giovani's Table over Jamie's, but the service and food at Jamie's was very good. Hope this is helpful.
  7. What's your favorite Mezcal mixed drink?
  8. Not at all. Just like 2 huge tvs. They play videos and kids movies all day long.
  9. We love those rear Boardwalk balconies. But we travel with a white noise app on phones. On Symphony the last 2 weeks aqua theater shows and other nights were loud late. Turn on the app and hear nothing else.
  10. Yes, everyone jumps in on CC reviews with their comments making it very lenghty. It makes sense! 😃
  11. No worries... just wondered why a blog vs a normal cc review. Thank you!
  12. What is your issue with this practice? 😃
  13. Of course I do not know you. I was basing my comment on your need to post this: (Someone yelled "Why didn't you take our f******g pictures while we waited for 2 hours in the theater!!!?") We have done many B2B and B3B cruises. Every change over is different! Many things are out of the control of the staff. We cruise to relax so we go with the flow. Getting any group all spun up, screaming and yelling isn't good.
  14. Not available though! You order off the specialty restaurant menu on Holiday reaervations. You might get lucky and have a waiter run to get you a turkey plate or 2 for your table like someone said above, but that is not typical or guaranteed.
  15. Exactly. Consider the length of the cruise, how full the ship will be, how many specialty rests on the ship etc. Even with a 7 night package on a recent 14 night transatlantic cruise, we were unable to use 1 dinner because of no seating times available at any specialty. If there is a Jamie's on the ship you can usually walk in at 5 or 5:30 and get a table -- if you want to eat that early.
  16. It's not turkey in specialty. It is ordering off the restaurants usual menu.
  17. Will cost about $100/per person and the only extra is a small bottle of champagne. One glass per person. Same menu.
  18. We have avoided the crazy Windjammer crowd by going directly to a specialty restaurant for a quiet lunch. That might even save you $s over the Key.
