  1. Hey I'll speculate. Most all-inclusive lines or alcohol-inclusive lines allow you to bring your own -- because you've already paid for the priviledge. So I *hope* the corkage policy will remain unchanged. I have no specific info, but I was a professional guesser for 15 years (aka stock analyst).
  2. Yes the staff! And, in Chilean fjords in the evening on a sea day before arriving at Puerto Montt, a table for 2 at the aft of Toscana in the long-summer evening, golden glow on the scenery - magic! Also just this February at Terrace outside in the evening, the full moon aligned with the planets low in the sky - at more or less 2-o'clock relative to the ship, so easy to miss if you weren't looking. So we kept pointing it out to staff - one told us it was the most amazing thing she'd seen in many years at sea. Sharing the moment was really the best part. But I get a big thrill just on embarking so...I might be easily impressed? Best wishes for everyone creating new best-memories!
  3. Local port reps seem to vary widely in knowledge and personality. One time the rep held onto their last map so all of us could at least take a photo. I like to use a free gps app, you do have to download the appropriate map when connected to data, but it doesn't use data while out and about. Still not paper obviously...
  4. Yes in Terrace if you ask a server they should summon the chef if the server doesn't know for certain. Many (not all) chefs can/will sometimes make you a compliant dish if the buffet version is not. Also if you have pre-ordered from the GDR it can usually be delivered to you in Terrace. O does not label the ingredients in the buffet so it is an extra step - but most cruises that means you get to know the chef =) Disclosure - my food restriction is (strict, medical) gluten
  5. Last there in 2021, there was a shuttle to town center. That was our 3rd visit, each time a shuttle was available. Watch out for the lunch break gap in the schedule.
  6. Even I haven't tried butter on a corn chip lol. If I try it I'll report back!
  7. Hint on luggage-your medium suitcase might appear to barely not fit. If so, you (or a staff person) can lift the bed frame and scoot the luggage underneath.
  8. I understand and most of the world sees it your way. If you have a moment where it doesn't seem so gross, try crackers or potato chips or (dry) cookies with a bit of room temp good butter and report back
  9. One way to add salt to an already-cooked cookie is to butter it with salted butter.
  10. We have done this several times. The required deposit may be higher than when booking a specific cruise onboard (but no higher than booking when not onboard). Footnote to 30 day window to transfer to a/your TA - if you want to use the same TA as booked the cruise you are on, you can have them in the new booking record from the start. If you wish to change TAs for the newly booked cruise, tell the O Ambassador to leave the TA unassigned for your new booking.
  11. Are we related? Family lore is my grandmother's maiden aunt lives to make delicious and huge sugar cookies for breakfast when her grand nieces stayed over (without parents).
  12. Correct, sold as a tour. Included class time in the culinary center.
  13. We did a shopping & culinary center tour in Casablanca a few years ago. Was lots of fun - got to visit several food markets, the chef did the buying, and we all prepared a dish back onboard.
  14. When we were on Nautica this spring, staff explained the same issue with wind possibly blowing the umbrellas around at Terrace.
  15. Wonder if they will personalize the offers based on current selection - for same category and cruise, will the person who has selected 'beverage package' get a different offer than another person who has 'OBC'? Inquiring minds...guess we better book that additional cruise we were thinking about very soon so we KNOW cruise only will be an option 🤠
  16. Nautica in February was at Klong Toey - no confirmation 100% until final boarding docs.
  17. Bummer! I bring hydrogen peroxide wioes
  18. I have some serious fragrance sensitivity. The provided detergent is fragrance free (it has been for our first 11 O cruises). Does anyone know, is fragrance-free a requirement of ocean-safe detergent??
  19. Good guidance @Hlitner I admit, when we used the Alilaguna we had only small hand luggage - nothing checked (that met us at the ship). We did have 4 small bags, no one seemed to care but this was November 2021 so not very busy.
  20. We embarked in Trieste in 2021 after staying in Venice. Also an option, an alilaguna, hotel shuttle, or private boat transfer right from the airport. The dock is a few blocks walk (enclosed but not heated iirc) from the terminal, there are moving walkways and luggage carts.
  21. Very true. I think we got an 'early access' invite on our 5rh cruise - but no one opened the event early so we just got a chance to chat with other 'early access' invitees in the hall lol. 10th cruise we received a standard invite,, early access.
  22. What in your shoes I would realize 2 days later I could have said- "Wow I would never have guessed that gold thing wasn't attached! Let me help you get it back on there.
  23. We have picked up luggage tags at the port in Buenos Aires and Bangkok, not chaos in either spot. We have also self-labelled boxes of wine at various ports, also worked fine
  24. I admit we take the onboard booking credit for the cruise we are on (not the one we are booking/using FCC to book later). No arguing with Miami that way lol. But having to argue is frustrating!
