  1. It sounds like you had a dreadful experience. Hopefully, you are fully refunded and I hope that all else goes well!
  2. For the above situation, we would choose to go to the buffet, or, go to The Local/O'Sheehan's = most casual of the sit-down service restaurants!
  3. Perhaps you will find more information here: (scroll through for JVD posts) https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/202-tortola/
  4. All NCL ships seem to have the same standard dining hours. Restaurants begin Dinner Hours at 5:30 pm (or 6:00 pm at some specialty).
  5. I would suspect that the answer lies within the purchase contract (likely, fine print)! Perhaps commission to Park West (only a guess on my part).
  6. That seems to have worked-out wonderfully for you! 😀
  7. That would be nice, but we sure don't picture that happening!
  8. I like the Jewel-class, and the Away-class ships! But, if I were traveling with teens, I would choose the Getaway for the added activities available, and more space to roam.
  9. Just wondering... Is this called a Mango Madness or Mango Meltdown? (Likely the same thing!😁)
  10. Take a look here: https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/Food_Republic_Mobile-Menu_ver1-24-22.pdf
  11. When we lived in Spring, I used to drive to Atascocita often. Despite the Grand Parkway completion, I no longer bother anymore. DH and I are both originally from the mid-west, so I understand!
  12. Near The Woodlands. Our youngest son is an Aggie (College Station) graduate. (He's certainly upset!)😒
  13. If you wish to cancel, call NCL. Or, you can cancel when you embark. We've cancelled reservations and replaced with alternate restaurants immediately after we've embarked.
  14. I've never heard of Splash Academy having a "Recess kids club/soft play." But, it does seem that NCL has had family play time available, so perhaps that is what you are looking for. It would be quite helpful is if you could see current Freestyle Daily for your ship (there might be information there for you to see). Maybe someone could possibly help by posting EPIC Freestyle Daily(s).
  15. We usually get the bid email around the 90+ day mark (although, we have had some earlier than that).
  16. NCL seems to be very strict that ALL criteria is met. Therefore, pay extra special attention to "Cruise Cancelled by Guest" (Also, the * note at the bottom of the page!) https://www.ncl.com/refund-and-cancellation-policy-covid-19
  17. This NCL blog might help - - https://ordinarytraveler.com/swimming-with-pigs-bahamas Also, here on Cruise Critic there are (separate) helpful PORT forums, such as... https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/308-private-islands/
  18. We have a booking that looks like this also. We figure they still need to iron-out all the wrinkles in their system.
  19. Hello! Looks like you have an exciting holiday cruise ahead. Do you have questions for NCL cruisers? Are you looking for a Jewel Roll Call? If so, it looks like you might be starting one. However, you would need to go to: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/262-norwegian-jewel-roll-calls/ Have a great cruise!
  20. Pre-cruise, your account should show how much you have in either/both categories. If you don't find any listed on your reservation, but believe you should, ask NCL (or your TA) to provide you with an "Amenities Invoice." Warning*** Be sure it you read that carefully, as the OBC and "Non-Refundable" often print on a separate line! While onboard, if you find your account confusing, you can visit Guest Services for further explanation. Generally, Non-Refundable Credit will be used for purchases in Gift Shops, Excursions (booked onboard) and Food/Beverage purchases that were not included in booked packages.
  21. The "Thank you" should go to @YVRteacher for posting her great reviews, with Freestyle Daily included!
  22. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2877558-an-encore-encore-live-from-the-encore-august-28-september-4/#comment-63863413 Has recent (August 28 - September 4) Dailies. However, the dailies list daily drink of the day, but does not "feature" MDR offerings. To see the daily offerings at the MDR, you can view menus each morning (same menu at each MDR)!
