  1. We have enjoyed cruises on each of those three ships. Of the three, the Sun was our least favorite because of a few different lay-out issues. (Things such as Dexddd stated above!) While the Sun is oldest, yet, I don't believe that is one of the factors. None-the-less, IF the itinerary is WOW, we'd base our decision solely on that factor!!!
  2. 🙃If your bidding for a Princess upgrade, it does not matter on NCL posts!
  3. Thankyou for warning others! Sorry that YOU found-out the hard way.
  4. That's good news for solos, if the ships haven't started enforcing some things.
  5. NCL has changed the rules for use of vouchers. For cost cutting measures, NCL has decided to make some limitations. You, as a Solo traveler, have access to 2 Latitudes specialty dining meals during a cruise of 5 days or longer. Anyone with whom you choose to dine, is on their own for "how" their meal will be paid! The one area of restriction that NCL has removed is "where" the vouchers may be used!
  6. The link below might give you a better "feel" for GSC (Plus some other things with NCL) - - https://view.ceros.com/ncl/latitudesmagazinefall2022/p/2?cheetahid=5000005580678&mi_u=5000005580678&cid=EM_MKL_LTM_PGU_EML_cta_EML_LATMAG_LATNEWS091722
  7. Originally (years ago), the plans were to have Haven accommodations on GSC. However, over the years, NCL has turned towards more "revenue generating" plans. Which means that those seeking a HAVEN-like experience at GSC, will need to book and pay for a VILLA in Silver Cove. A few reviews of Silver Cove have been posted. Generally, you can find them in: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/308-private-islands/
  8. Maybe this will help you a little: (NOTE: It is almost two years old!) https://www.cruzely.com/ultimate-guide-to-harvest-caye-belize-norwegians-private-island-tips-map-and-things-to-do/
  9. They will certain expect you to go to your Muster Station to "Check In"! Once you have done that (only a few minutes of your time) you are free to go about your day. However, it is still possible that you'll have to watch the video (yet again) once you are in your room.
  10. First come, first served! Therefore, being in the Haven helps, as long as you take one of the first available tenders!
  11. No self-serve laundry on any NCL ships. They do offer laundry service, but wait for the Fill-a-Bag special pricing ($29 for full bag) about mid-week!
  12. Based upon many posts (this year) regarding "upgrades," you might need to upgrade to a room category that costs more than you paid for your current room. Calling, or using chat, might get you an upgrade at no additional change. But, NCL has no obligation to do so.
  13. Best to ask Port related question in the PORTS forums. Here is a link to Aruba (Lots of info there!!!): https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/101-aruba/
  14. If in a Club Balcony Suite 125 days prior. Everyone else (without any special status) 120 days prior!
  15. The restaurants that have a "fee" should be booked first. NCL doesn't know what your "bill" would be at the end of the Ala Carte meals!
  16. Haven guests need reservations for the Specialty Restaurants (like any other guests)!. However, you may book reservations at 130 days, vs 125 or 120 for everyone else!
  17. NOPE! That went away Pre-Covid. Lobster is available at extra $$ charge.

  19. Completely agree with @Sailing12Away! However, some people might still be confused with the above responses with regard to when they wish to dine. Your bookings are best made as instructed above, however, the day of the week can be YOUR CHOICE (based upon availability). Example: On a Sunday to Sunday cruise -- Diners want to eat at Teppanyaki on Wednesday, with Le Bistro on Sunday, and Cagney's on Friday. First entry on reservation: Teppanyaki on Wednesday evening. Second entry, either Cagney's or Le Bistro, because it no longer matters, once you took care of you "for a fee" restaurant(s) first. You still may choose which nights work for you, as long as there is availability!
  20. If you are in suite(s) you should be able to book restaurants around 130 (maybe? 135) days. Club Balcony Suites at 125 Days, and all others at 120 days.
  21. Hopefully you don't have problem with the bathroom not functioning well. Have a great cruise!
  22. Log into your MY NCL. Open your cruise and look for Explore and Plan toward the top of the page. Scroll down and look for Spa & Thermal Suite. Check there. Good luck!
