While we have a rip-roaring 25 nights on Carnival ships, we know people that sail on the line regularly. All of the say the same thing... Sail on the newest Carnival ship that you can find.
We have friends on couple of islands that do this. They always pack their things off in a duffle bag. Both couples claim to never having been questioned. Sometimes they are just taking things home to wash and to water the plants.

While this method requires a lot of string, I find it quite effective on cruises. The limiting factor is it’s really only useful when calling one number.
We send ours in upon receiving the booking number. We have had it disappear when we’ve “jacked around” with our booking, so I always check again after all the jacking is done.
Yes, we have done cruises without getting off at the ports. There are limited activities during the days in port, so plan to sleep in as late as possible. Then take over the pool, spa, buffet, open bar, or Diamond lounge and treat the ship like you own it. The peons will be streaming aboard soon enough.
I rarely enter an elevator on a cruise ship, but when the wife throws on the 5 inch stilettos, I’m required to travel in this fashion. I learned a long time ago, if an elevator on a ship comes, get in it. Whether going up or down.
Topnole has this one right. Money talks and money won’t pay a lot for an “Indian” restaurant. Now a Indian then Native American then Greek then Canadian then African then Caribbean then Norwegian restaurant, that would be “Gold”. 😉
