  1. Yes, I can confirm this. I booked a cruise for 2024 last Tuesday (inside cabin), through my PCC at NCL. She did not mention (and I didn't know about it myself) the CruiseNext "double up" promotion. So first I received a confirmation by e-mail that just stated that one CruiseNext voucher had been applied as deposit. But a couple of hours later I received a new confirmation, with TWO CruiseNext vouchers (total value $500) added as payment instead of just one. 😊
  2. You are not trying to book same restaurant more than once? Because the system only allows one reservation per restaurant, if you want the same restaurant more than once, than they will add that when you are onboard.
  3. We are considering booking a cruise on the Dawn, and are looking at inside cabins on deck 9 (category IB). Have had inside cabins on other ships in the NCL fleet, where we have been two persons and the cabins have had one extra bed attached to the wall on each side of the "regular bed". I have banged my head on that type of bed in inside cabins several times in the past, because I tend to "forget that it is there" when getting out of bed in the morning. As the cabin is only for my husband and myself, we would prefer an inside cabin that doesn't have these extra beds "latched" to the walls next to the regular bed. According to the deck plan below (Norwegian Dawn, deck 9), there are some cabins that doesn't have the plus-mark that stands for "holds 4", eg. # 9025 - #9027 - #9077 - #9079. So my first thought was that one of them would be what I was looking for. But then I started thinking that it is strange that NCL doesn't have the possibility for adding 3rd or 4th person to those cabins as they do for the majority of the other inside cabins on deck 9. Could that mean that these specific cabins are even smaller than the regular inside cabins, or they have some special lay-out that makes them less desirable than the rest of the IB cabins on that deck? Or am I simply overanalyzing this....? I tried to google it, but didn't get any results for those specific cabins - so hope one of you maybe know from previous cruises where you actually stayed in one of these cabins.... 🤞🤞
  4. They free at sea-offers changed in mid-January - around January 18th, 2022. I booked one cruise (oceanview) on January 17th (11 days), that included 3 free specialty dinners. A few days later I booked another cruise, 10 days in club balcony, and it only includes 2 free specialty dinners and the option to purchase 2 more at a discounted price. The free at sea data package also changed at the same time - for the cruise booked on January 17th I got 250 free minutes for guest 1 (can be share between both guests in the cabin). The new Free at Sea data offer I got for the second cruise I booked a few days later, includes 150 free minutes each for guest 1 and guest 2 in the cabin.
  5. Pride of Aloha(Sky) 1 - Pearl 1 - Dawn 2 - Epic 2 - Escape 2 - Star 2- Gem 4 - Sun 4 - Spirit 4 - Jade 7
  6. I have a 11-days cruise booked for next year, with the regular Free at Sea internet included. When I log on to my ncl-account, I have the choice to upgrade it to the streaming type internet for a total of $259,89 - and that equals about $23,60 per day extra. So my guess is that streaming internet access for a 15 days cruise where you have the Free at Sea internet included, would be around $355....
  7. This is also my experience - definitely the "light version" of cleaning in the evening.
  8. I actually worked as cabin steward on a luxury cruiseline for a few months more than 20 years ago, and at that time the recommended tip (similar to what NCL today has as their "daily service charge") per day per cabin was $10,00 - and from that $10 I as a cabin steward received $3,50 (so actually 35%) per day (the base salary from the cruise line was only $750 per month, working 12 hours per day 7 days per week for many months). The rest was divided with a certain percentage to retaurant waiters, assistant waiters and bar staff. This was paid out to our "on board account" at the end of every cruise. On top of that, we also very often received a personal tip in cash.
  9. You will only be allowed to have your mother as a guest in your suite, she is not allowed to use the Haven amenities. Not together with you and not alone.
  10. I think it is a temporary technical issue, as I get this when trying to log on to my account on ncl.com in Europe:
  11. What NCL requires of details for booking a cruise and what AIRLINES (or more correctly the state dept.) require when booking a ticket may not be the same - even if NCL is acting as the "middle man" in the purchase. Much info on this matter can be found here: https://upgradedpoints.com/travel/airlines/middle-name-airline-ticket/
  12. That has been my experience as well.
  13. Nope, but I did however forget to mention O'Sheehans as well, so thank you for commenting. I have now edited my original reply. 🙂
  14. Asian fusion, you can find more information on ncl.com
  15. One of the main diningrooms midships, and O'Sheans, plus Food Republic (FR is considered as a speciality restaurant).
  16. That is what I have experienced as well, in the past. I am interested in booking a "British Isles cruise" for the summer of 2024, and that is not listed yet. I am expecting it to become available to book by end of december 2022.
  17. It was ctually changed last January - I have a booking for an oceanview cabin for next year (11 nights), and that one includes 4x FAS speciality dining. My official booking date was January 17th. 2022 and if I remember correctly, the change to Free at Seas speciality dining came the next day.
  18. I think you will find answers to most of your questions here: https://www.ncl.com/fr/en/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions-ceuk#cruisenext
  19. The arrival times for the various ports that are listed on the itinerary, are the times that the cruise line expects to be ready to start letting people off the ship. They usually arrive at the port before the scheduled time. Of course unexpected delays may happen, but if the ship has a scheduled arrival at 08.00 AM and it is not a tender port, then I would count on being off the ship by "08.15-ish".
  20. I have organized it very similar to this (with only one magnet per person) - except I asked for the magnet to be wrapped, so that they all "feel the same". I then put them all in a pillowcase I got from the cabin steward, and then one random person (who are participating of course) pulls out one magnet, then the person who gave that magnet is the next one to pull out a magnet, and that just continues until the bag is empty.
  21. The balconies on the forward facing club balcony or regular balcony cabins on the Sun are simply amazing when it comes to space - wouldn't change that for a sideways club balcony even if the bathroom is "better" on the "sideways facing" club balcony cabins. This is from one of the two forward facing regular balcony cabins:
  22. When we reached 250 points (several years ago), both my husband and I received the "milestone gift" in the mail - at that time it was a small, travel size world atlas book with maps. The Latitude program has changed since then, and there are no "milestone gifts" anymore. And they have not been missed since....
  23. It also states the following: Guests who are unable to provide proof of up-to-date vaccination regimen, including booster**, will be considered unvaccinated. Unvaccinated guests may be required to test occasionally throughout the voyage if deemed necessary by Greek Authorities.
  24. Yes, all EU countries have currently NOT any "expiration date" on the booster shot - including Greece.
  25. Often for hotel reservations, even for "refundable rates" they will put a hold on the credit card you have given information about when making the reservation, either on the day of arrival or the day before arrival. And if it is not possible to put on hold the 1st nights fee, then you risk the hotel reservation of being cancelled. And if you then need to rebook shortly before arrival, then the rate is very likely to be much higher than your original reservation.
