I have the same experience at the pool bar. On our last cruise that was on the Equinox I was patiently sitting there waiting my turn. I didn’t tap my card, try to promote my status in the CC, call out to them, or flash my silver cabin card. I took notice of who is there when I sat down. After most were served that were there before me without a drink a BT looked around and asked who is next. I said those 2 over there and then me. He served them and then continued to serve others that just walked up and he and the other BTs kept ignoring me by serving more that walked up. I sat there just waiting and a person next to me said I can’t believe it. I agreed and said I can’t either. I guess I will need to go to another bar and left. I was going to write a complaint on an attention to detail card but decided against that and didn’t go to that bar again. 2 days later I was at the Sunset Bar. That BT was there. He took my order and said he remembered me from somewhere, maybe a different cruise I said I it could be. He was completely different person and very accommodating. It must have been a bad hair day for him when at the pool bar. I found the bars that gave good service and kept going there. I did spend a lot of time in the Retreat Lounge. It was quieter, not as crowded and got fast service. On the Apex and Edge besides the Retreat Lounge it was the Eden Bar. Love the atmosphere and the choices of where to relax and spend time. Sometimes we would luck out when the performers were rehearsing. A little extra entertainment. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Can’t you upgrade and pay the difference? It may be worth looking into. If you don’t ask you will never know. I know from experience how great a shared trip with a parent is. Those memories are priceless. They give you a lot of undivided time together Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

The video was taken in a corner suite. If other people can see you, you can also see them. The windows are usually fogged by a mist. the window wasn’t an issue. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

And I am sure that the suite at that time didn’t have all of the perks and accommodations they have today. A suite on the Beyond would be a really memorable experience with the designated retreat area that the ship was designed to accommodate. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Here is something you may want to consider. You could change your booking to a suite You could share a suite with him. Sailing alone he would have to pay double. All 3 of you could move up to a suite and get all of the perks plus and it may cost less in the long run. This is for the cruise you are on. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We were on the Apex for 4 B2B for a total of 28 days dining. In Luminae. We don’t done one time in a specialty restaurant. They cost too much and I paid a lot for Laminae. We have dined in some of the specialty restaurants before and they are nice but don’t need to do it again. If it is your first time in Luminae save the specialty restaurants for the next time or when in a lower category. This is my opinion and I am sure others with disagree Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

If you use a TA you have to go thru them. I learned the very time consuming process of many days and hours being on the phone talking with the Celebrity reps. Then I was told that I had to go thru my TA. The TA processed it and I got the refund in about a week. Be prepared to submit all of the documentation of the test results, booking number and etc. Celebrity won’t automatically refund it. Go to the local Salvation Army, St Vincent DePaul, or Goodwill store. Look for a white robe that shows wear and tear and if it is too long or short buy it. 🤗 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

The slippers aren’t worth keeping. They are very cheap and one size fits all. Ok if you have very large feet You can keep the robe but you will get a post cruise charge. If you want to purchase one ask for a new one and not one that has been used many times. Same price. They use to have a price sheet in the cabins for some of the items. I think it has been eliminated. There are many things in the cabin that people will take. Be careful. The fake leather folder is $250. I know because the Retreat host had one and it was very worn. I said that we could replace it with the one in our cabin. She said don’t do that. She said she asked to get a new one and they told her it would be $250. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

But then again they are celebrating the birthdate for the 51st time if they are 50 They would also be celebrating the wedding date the 51st time if they were married for 50 years. Stay at home and enjoy and explore and the area you live in. Go out every day trying different restaurants, museums, churches, parks, aquariums, zoos and historic landmarks and etc. I live in the Detroit area. There are many different places and restaurants that I have never been to. Being retired we now try to visit many of those places. In the overall picture it cost us less per day pp to dine in a nice restaurant and pay admission to a attraction than it does to cruise and we don’t have any restrictions or have to pack, be here or be there, and etc. i am sure that many people pay dearly to travel to you area to do stuff that you take for granted and never done. They will not and cannot make the signature cocktails at the Eden or Martini bars using classic spirits. You may be able to bribe them with a fantastic tip but it would be better to pay the upgrade and get the real thing than jeopardizing their job and also getting an inferior product. Buy everyone on the ship a round of drinks to celebrate his birthday. 😱🍷🍸🥂🤷‍♂️🙄 hopefully in return they will reciprocate If you mention it to the staff and also note it in the check in that you will be celebrating a birthday they usually present the honoree with a token chocolate cake during dinner and the staff embarrasses them by singing happy birthday like they do at many party themed venues like Chuck E Cheesy. They may even do it backwards in their own language Here is something to think about If he is celebrating his 60th he will be 59. His first was the day he was born and I am sure many celebrated that day. When he was 1 year old it was his 2nd birthday. So if he is celebrating his 60th he would be 59 years old. We were on the Equinox in Nov and many have been many times on Celebrity ships. I never seen a casino menu for free or complimentary drinks. . We played in the casino and ordered a drink and they brought it to us. I was drinking Woodford neat. We were in a SS and had the premium drink pack but I was never asked for my card. The menu may be something new. Things always changed for day to day and cruise to cruise. Since you are in Aq class be sure to visit and relax in the Persian Gardens. It is complimentary. Another to be aware of is as the cruise gets closer to the end the casino gets more crowded as passengers are trying to use up their non refundable on board credit. During one session on the Apex the same person was randomly picked for both games and also to do the spin at the end to win a cruise. She won a cruise. The cruise didn’t amount to much. They didn’t say what it was but she told me that it was a 3 day cruise in an inside cabin during the hurricane season in the Caribbean. Here is a little tip. You don’t really have to keep track or worry about missing one of the matching amounts. If you take the cards to the casino cashier they will check it for you by scanning barcode on the cards. It is worth doing just to be sure that the card isn’t a loser. The lower values are in casino play. The higher amounts are cash. We won $400 and it was cash. There is also a perk for Elite Plus. When you walk into a restaurant they ask your cabin number ( some will know it after the first day or so) and check you off on their computer. They will probably deny you a seating Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
