  1. Jackie, I just checked the protocol lookup for my voyage, it’s the one after yours and this is the info…keep in mind it’s not yet Oct 1st and twit might not be fully updated Enhanced Health Protocols Unpublished This specific booking and/or voyage does not yet have published protocols for COVID-19 vaccination and testing requirements. Please check closer to the embarkation date for updates. Nancy PS..WE still plan on getting tested although we recently recovered from a very, very mild case of Covid and we’re quadrupled vaxed
  2. If you’re flexible on time and date it usually happens 😄 Nancy
  3. I just checked the health protocols on seabourns website and they were updated today! Probably since you posted! https://www.seabourn.com/en_US/health-safety.html Nancy
  4. choice is good! Everyone has different wants, needs and priority’s. FWIW…we have sailed exclusivity on lux lines for 18 years. While it’s great for those who love caviar, it’s readily available on seabourn…we aren’t big caviar fans and my husband ordered it twice in 14 days. We don’t special order for 2 and never did on crystal unless we were dining with our friends, on our recent ovation cruise, the restaurant MD, F & B manager as well as the hotel director initiated and encouraged us to special order in advance anything we might desire…we didn’t see a need to do that yet greatly appreciated all the offers to do so. happy sails to you one of these days, Nancy
  5. Let me further clarify..we do like the quite atmosphere of the restaurant at lunchtime and like being served at our table. The reason I mentioned it might be a waste is due to the almost empty restaurant and the staff might be better utilized in the colonnade nancy
  6. The restaurant was open for lunch only on sea days several weeks ago on the ovation. I believe we went twice during the cruise and there were very few guest there…seems like a waste to be open for lunch Nancy
  7. The cruise is Not ending a day early…it arrives in Montreal on October 3rd and overnights there Nancy
  8. We feel very blessed to be able sail on luxury cruise line and never take anything for granted. We never envisioned ourselves as cruisers as the few cruises we did in our 30,s and early 40’s we’re nothing special and we didn’t have lots of time for vacations. When we embarked on our first crystal cruise in 2004 we knew in a very short time it was very special and we made crystal our annual vacation with second sailing on occasion a few times. I will say, even though we are now in our 60’s, we still lower the age demographic …just a tad bit! 😄. I hope we will have many more years to do what we’ve come to love. happy sails, Nancy
  9. thanks haven't been sailing a lux line nor any line as long as you. However, the service and care we experienced on crystal for 17 years echoes your Seabourn experiences. We were so delighted with our overall Seabourn experience last month and in some aspects, sorry but we couldn’t help making some comparisons, even better than the other line. I’m glad things are much better on the quest and looking forward to our cruise. Normally, we don’t have 2 sailings within such a short timeframe but we will adjust! 😂 Nancy
  10. That’s why we got the VIP treatment! 😁 seriously, many of the crew and senior officers told us several times how thrilled they were to have us sail on seabourn and how much they enjoyed our company and support for the crew… wry simple motto…we treat people the way we want to be treated! Nancy
  11. We did this and it’s worked perfectly…we actually got 2 copies nightly! 😁 Nancy
  12. We did several Canada/NE cruises on crystal, slightly different than the current former itinerary. We found the pax mix to be somewhat older than other itineraries..I also suspect my upcoming quest cruise will be the same and now we are early and mid/late 60’s! 😂 merely an observation and not casting a negative tone, glad all is well and safe/smooth sails. Nancy
  13. Wow, your experience is the polar opposite of my cruise on the ovation last month. Was everything perfect, no and nothing is perfect. I now some others on your cruise and they aren’t having all the issues you’re experience, We’re on the quest next month and will keep an open mind and feel confident it will meet our expectations. enjoy
  14. I’ve gone in late June to mid July twice and recently on the ovation from mid to late august. Weather is always a crapshoot so it’s hard to predict. We were very lucky weather wise on all 3 trips with mostly mild and sunny weather and little rain…we even lucked out at the North cape this past august with a clear view and temps in the 50’sF. In early to mid July in 2018, there were record breaking temps in several on the ports, not the north cape or Tromso…hence, there is no best time as all are good times and you can’t predict the weather…go for it. good luck, Nancy
  15. had the same great experience on the ovation last month and hope it will be the at embarkation on my upcoming quest cruise. good luck with the weather and changing itinerary Nancy
  16. Great photos. will be in Montreal next months, also a seabourn cruise. Can you share the name of the company you used for your private walking tour? bon voyage, nancy
  17. I read your posts on the ss board …. I’m on sb trying ss for the first time next year…the October cruise on sb is our second sb cruise after many, many years and cruises on crystal 😢 we loved our first sb cruise enjoy your cruise and hopefully Canada will get rid of the testing requirements. I’m fine if we still needed to be vaxed as we’ve had 4 already! 😄 Nancy
  18. I read about this earlier this morning and I too wonder about testing to board a ship…hoping it’s dropped. Have a cruise in mid October starting in Ny and ends in Montreal. nancy
  19. recently returned from the ovation, first seabourn cruise and the veranda suite was great. As noted, there are only a few suites that are the smaller ones. Hope you enjoy seabourn as much as we did. If you have any questions, let me know how to reach you. While it’s different than our former cruiseline, we were very happy sailing on seabourn and will be on another seabourn ship soon. Nancy
  20. IT’s the Silver WIND and is very, very far north…in NOME ALASKA nancy
  21. The chefs dinner on the ovation a few weeks ago was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised. Nancy
  22. You’re correct Roy..Jim Brochu introduced his fabulous Character Man show on the cruise…fabulous man and terrific show. Nancy
  23. We did have horrible weather. I know you weren’t pleased with the cruise but I had a great time with the exception of the several days of bad weather. Since we missed Halifax on this cruise, I’m sailing seabourn this fall and hope for good weather as we will spend 2 days there. Nancy
