  1. The only ports you’ll have in common with the cruise are trois-rivers and Quebec City. I just looked at the cruise you’re considering. I was underwhelmed with trois-rivers and if I went back would just walk Around on my own. Been to Quebec City numerous times on multiple crystal cruises and the recent seabourn cruise. Great city with lots to see and do nancy
  2. The thread starter as well as myself were on the October 16th New York to Montreal cruise which is a different itinerary than the Montreal to Montreal cruise. While we visited several Canadian ports, we also visited several US ports in New England, I enjoyed most of the Canadian ports, especially Charlottetown which was a new port for me as well as Halifax. the September 2022 RT Montreal cruise was significantly altered due to a major hurricane. Nancy
  3. I sure hope my crossing next year will offer lunch in the restaurant as we will have 11 sea days! 😁😱. As the weather should be pleasant, we do enjoy eating outside at the colonnade and will also have the pool area as alternatives for lunch and dinner options. Nancy
  4. Agree! Thank you! We’re loving seabourn and can’t wait for our seabourn cruises next year. Nancy
  5. I was told this will happen on Thursday. Nancy
  6. Recently sailed on the quest out of Manhattan. We had a 3:00 boarding time and couldn’t extend our hotel checkout past12:30. We arrived at the terminal around 1:00 and prepared to wait. We didn’t have to wait and absolutely no one inquired about our boarding time. We were on the ship in less than 10 minutes. Nancy
  7. Our few minor service issues were promptly corrected. thanks about info on the early Alaska season cruises. We are going later in the season and very pleased with the price. Also, we recently booked a spring cruise and that will now be repriced. Nancy
  8. You’re welcome. Earlier this year, I looked at booking an Alaska cruise for next summer. We had yet to sail seabourn but had one booked. I decided to book a silversea (1st timer) Alaska cruise instead as the pricing was significantly lower and I liked the itinerary. I’m thrilled that the SB cruise is part of the reduced pricing promo and will cancel the SS Cruise. We’ve sailed seabourn twice this year, first time seabourn sailors and it’s a great fit for us. We sailed crystal exclusively for 18 years. As crystal ceased operations early this year, not sure when we would have sailed seabourn. I’m thrilled that we will now sail Alaska on seabourn. We’ve been to Alaska several times on crystal and always find new things to do and look forward to a few new ports. nancy ps. We were on the quest shortly after you and thoroughly enjoyed our cruise
  9. I didn’t see anything a couple of hours ago. However, a cruise I’m interested in had a reduction in price. Nancy
  10. It started today and goes through December 5th. nancy
  11. Sounds great!!! We had about 7 week between our first 2 Seabourn cruises! Nancy
  12. Spot on Leo…fully concur Enjoyed our quest cruise as much as the ovation Norway cruise…booked a spring crossing…and you? nancy
  13. Exactly the same experience in new York on October 16th. Nancy
  14. Great…plus…the warmer weather will be conducive to dining outside for lunch and dinner Nancy
  15. I was on the same cruise is the thread starter. Went to the MDR twice for lunch on the 3 days it was open and it was quite empty except for the group he mentioned and another group, think a different day. We will be on a crossing next year with many, many sea days and it will be interesting to see how many of the sea days it will be opened…we only have 2 port days out of 14 days! 😁 nancy
  16. As a previous long time crystal cruiser, I believe the bag you are referring to was a large bag with no zipper and more like a large tote for beach towels and/or toting to and fro the laudry..not quite the same as the picture catlover posted. There was a crystal Society tote bag but it was in the room on every cruise, received once Nancy
  17. Yes, obviously based on itinerary…I booked another cruise while onboard the quest..a different seabourn ship yes to the rest of your questions…we all have different expectations, wants, needs..etc…I personally wouldn’t make my decision based on reading info on social media sites like this one Nancy
  18. I just got off the quest and the seabourn club representative was in isolation but it wasn’t covid, I believe she has the flu…this was the last 2 days of the cruise…if one needed assistance, the folks in guest services in the square could help Nancy
  19. I’m currently on the quest and the restaurant is open for breakfast daily and was open for lunch on the 2 sea days and the day we arrived in Halifax in the early afternoon nancy
  20. Could be..didn’t need to show in Norway on the ovation in august..just sharing the facts from my experiences
  21. I’m currently on the quest and have taken a few shore excursions…never been asked to show or present our electronic tickets in the wallet…they just asked us our suite number…easy peasey i do carry my phone with me as it’s my camera during excursions Nancy
