Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get a OBC for owning shares of NCL? I sent in the form that I found online 3 weeks ago with a copy of my account statement. Our cruise is October 21 2018. My online MYNCL does not show anything. We are all paid up and within the 90 day from sailing? Thanks in advance

I had mine within 48 hours. I received an email with a reference number when I originally sent the request. I’d send an email including that reference number to check the status

I've gotten it with and without.

Thanks for that, it's worth a shot then. Will keep my fingers crossed :D

I was reading this in the T&C's:

excludes Reduced Rate programs (e.g. employee rates, interline, friends /family rates, vendor rates, cruises taken via cruise credit certificate, or free cruises earnedthrough Oceania Cruises loyalty benefits), and travel agent rates, and charters.

I typically send a copy of my account statement in by mail (along with the form from the website) and get an acknowledgement and posting to the website within a week. Most of my cruises are casino at sea "deals" and are partially paid with cruise next certificates. It hasn't been an issue. But none have gone through travel agents, so I don't know about that.

Enjoy your cruise.

If I’m not mistaken that refers to the heavily discounted rates agents themselves get to try out ships, not the rates for their customers.

I originally sent the request in by snail mail so after reading ck37421's reply I emailed the forms in and received a reference number back within an hour also. Thanks for the answers. NCl has had a little boost since earnings came out. I don't follow Cramer but I guess he liked NCL better than CCL

Received an emailed Amenity Invoice today at 10:00 AM EST containing the benefit

Great, I just emailed two forms for both my upcoming cruises, one booked via an agent and one booked direct so fingers crossed on both :D

You sent that in early. I never send it in until about 3-4 weeks prior to the cruise. Just sent an email to them about a August 31st cruise a few days ago. Got an email back the same day, with a case number. Got the benefit confirmation a couple days later. We've got another cruise October 28th. I'll send that in the first week of October. I believe they say they want 2 weeks notice.

Different strokes for different folks. I’ve done it five months before sailing once. One less item to worry about pre-cruise!

I'd assume there's some limit. Just because you had the stock when you booked doesn't mean you have it when you cruise. I don't worry about anything cruise related. It's vacation.

I sent the request in April for a cruise in October 2019 and received the amenity confirmation. It does surprise me that they don't say to apply closer to the date, but they don't. It is the same way with RCCL. I request the shareholder OBC as soon as I book and there is never a question about it.

That is surprising they let you get those that far in advance. We just take about 4 cruises a year now. They're all from cruise certificates we get from the land based casino's during the year We spread them out a bit. It's so much simpler to work on each one as they come up. Return from one, and start the process for the next. Easy to remember what we've done(nothing), and what needs to be done, as each one approaches.

We've booked our cruises through a TA and gotten the credit many times. Only once on another cruise line was it denied and I think is was because our TA booked us in some sort of block of reserved rooms with a group rate. It's great to have that little bit of mad money!

We usually use it or part of it in the casino and/or apply it to an excursion. Between the OBC and the discount for platinum plus, it is about as cheap to book tours through NCL as private tour companies.

We have always heard back within a few days. We do end up mailing ours, instead of doing it on line: not computer skilled I guess. Anyway within a week of mailing the information we have conformation. :confused:We usually send the request shortly after final payment.
