$$$$ Upgrade for JS on Enchantment

Recommended Posts

I was considering upgrading to a JS on my 9-day Enchantment cruise next year (11-7-18) from Galveston. Looking at the difference in the price now ($1,000 for 3 adults) I'm wondering why it's so much higher than the D1 balcony I currently have booked. I'll probably stay where I am. Oh well....

That's about twice as much as I'd consider for the upgrade.

That works out to $37 per person, per day to go from a D1 to a JS since it is 9 day; isn't that pretty fair? I don't know the original balcony price but a $37 delta doesn't seem like a giant gap?

What would be considered good; $25 per person, per day?

For me, about $50 per day total is what I would seriously consider for a D to JS. I was not thinking of the 3rd person initially, so it makes sense to do a bit more for the 3rd.

But for this price you get a MUCH bigger stateroom with a tub and double points: 18 points is a nice thing!

Another deciding factor is the fact that those 18 points would bring us up to Diamond. What to do??:confused::confused:

Sailed in an Aft facing JS on Enchantment in September. Bought the Aft Junior. We love Aft facing rooms which is why I did it, but at the end of the cruise, and what I paid above the D1, we both said ‘that was stupid’. In December we’re in the D1 on Indy. Just not enough bang for the buck with a JS. Either way enjoy! Great ship and even better crew.

My guess is that the OP is looking at the extra room as they currently have 3 booked in the D1 plus the extra C & A points which will put them at Diamond after this cruise. Maybe in this case that would be the bang for the buck. :)
