Disimbarkation Question-What time if we carry our luggage off and have a suite

Hi all,

I am trying to arrange a pick up time with Larry's Limos for disinformation. We are in a sky suite and want to carry off our own luggage. We have a flight at 2;45 out of Miami and don't mind getting to the airport early. Any idea when we could expect to be off the ship so I can let them know.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

As soon as the ship is cleared by the Port Authority they will make an announcement that all people taking off their own luggage can do so. It depends on what time the ship docks. We were off the Equinox in Miami by 7.00am.

It is not an exact time, but if you carry off your own luggage you will be the first group allowed to disembark. I would estimate between 7 AM- 7:30 AM.

If you do not insist on carrying your own luggage off, you can be in the first group after the those carrying their own luggage. You will meet in the Michael’s Club. You and your luggage receive priority. I would estimate this between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM.

Luggage Valet (do not see your luggage until your plane lands) costs $25 a person is very convenient, but you will disembark a little later. You have to wait until they clear all the Luggage Valet luggage and make a special announcement. Probably between 8:00 AM-8:30 AM.

The above estimates are based my disembarking experiences in Miami.

There are various factors that can impact the times.

I usually just take a taxi to the Miami airport.

Enjoy your cruise.

On our last cruise Dec 2017, the people in front of us were not allowed to check in their luggage as their flight was scheduled to depart more than 3 hours later. This was at Miami flying on United. Just something to consider before arriving at the airport to early.

There is no priority disembarking for suites

How many times have you sailed in a suite on Celebrity?

Celebrity has an outstanding priority system for suites. You meet in Michael's Club, can have refreshments there while you wait. When you are ready to leave the Michael's Club concierge generally escorts suite guests past the lines - and in some ports even to a special (i.e. much shorter) line for clearing customs. You should be able to be among the very first to debark, but it is always a bit unpredictable exactly what time a ship will be cleared. Since you are not in a hurry, personally I would give a safe time - i.e. around 8:00am, have breakfast and then head to Michael's Club to be escorted off. You do not have to be among the first of for carrying off your luggage.

We have encountered the same, although I do not recall if it was FLL or MIA.

Also, wish people would be more considerate of those who really need to get off the ship early because they do have early flights. The more people who do it for no good reason are clogging up the elevators and making it that much harder for the people who have no choice but to get off early. And to those who say then don't book flights that early, I would answer that sometimes that is all that is available at a price you can afford, and sometimes (it has happened to me several times) the airline bumps up the time of your flight and you are stuck with a much earlier flight than you scheduled..

We've had the opportunity to use the self assist luggage. We were told that we could exit at the scheduled time for doing your own carry off OR we could just go whenever. Since you will have access to Michael's Club, why not enjoy your morning and disembark at your leisure. You will have priority choice as to what time you disembark being in a suite, so I would talk to guest services to take advantage of that.

Thank you everyone. I told Larrys Limos 9am. Our flight is out of Miami on American and leaves at 2pm. We have a lot of time to kill but will have access to the AmEx lounge at the airport. And our family will end up tense if we city things too close. It sounds like a nice breakfast then hanging out in Michael's is the way to go. I really appreciate everyone's input.
