Sail & Sign Card - Size?

Does anyone know the dimensions of the sail & sign card? Thinking about getting a custom lanyard with an ID holder.

Also, if I don't do this are there free lanyards available at the casino?

I think on most ships, there are free lanyards in the casino. However, from what I've read, there are apparently a few ships that don't have them. Sorry, I don't remember which ones. If you're hoping to get one, go as soon as the casino opens on embarkation day. The free lanyards seem to get snatched up pretty quickly. The lanyards look like this, and they're usually either red or blue:

It is a standard credit card size and fits all standard lanyards with holders. I personally use a lanyard with a clip on the end and have them punch a hole on the S&S card so I can clip the lanyard directly to the card without needing a plastic holder pouch. If you are planning on using a clear plastic holder, it is a pain as you will be having to take the card out anytime it needs 'swiping' (purchasing anything on board, when getting on/off ship etc). If you use a lanyard with a clip you dont ever need to remove it from lanyard....just my suggestions!

We use spiral keychains to attach our sign and sail card to ourselves for the week. We bring with us and can be purchased at Walmart in the jewelry department or automotive by the keys . We do have a couple of lanyards that we bring with us and I agree you should keep the card free or you will have to remove it often to use for drinks or getting off the ship. Sometimes they just look at your folio number to charge for drinks, other times they take the card and swipe it.

For ships that still require a card with a magnetic strip for the safe, I bring an expired debit card that has no funds on it. I punched a hole in it before we ever left home and I just hung it from the lanyard along with my Sail and Sign card. We will use it again in 2 weeks because the ship we are sailing on has the old style safes.

We used our AAA card last time. It seamed any card with a magnetic strip on the back worked. Hubby just stuck it in his pocket with his sail and sign card.
