Carnival Cruise Line and Five Guys!!!

Can't speak for every one, but counting my pennies means I get to cruise more often...so I guess I am cheap. Works for me:D

I just don't want one of the Carnival employees that read these boards to think this is a great idea and find something else to nickle and dime us with.

If you wouldnt eat there how would it impact your cruise??

To me what some people call nickle and dimin' I call alternatives and options. I dont drink/eat the coffee, cookies and cakes Carnival sells, but its a great option for those that enjoy those treats.

No I think it was because people didn't want to "pay extra" was what he was referring to;)

But what people are missing is it would be a alternative.....a choice......an option......not mandatory......

So sure if it would benefit others......why not?

I guess my reasoning is that CCL may pull the burgers and hot dogs they now offer off the free side, so then if I wanted a burger, paying extra would be my only option.

Five Guys? Seriously? Yuck. Not for me. Besides, you can already get burgers and fries onboard.

Now, I would be happy to pay extra for an Earl of Sandwich like they have at Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World. Plus, they don't have sandwiches like that on the ship.

I would see it just like the specialty spots, like the coffee shop. If you want the double expresso soy half-decaf latte, stop and pay the $3 for one. If not, walk by and go to the MDR or buffet and get a coffee.

RCCL has partnered with Johnny Rockets in order to provide guests with an alternative option.

Who would you suggest CCL partner with in order to provide an alternative dining option?

I will go first....I would love to see CCL partner with Five Guys as a dining option.

Your turn, suggest two or three....

I like 5 Guys right where it is, about 30 blocks away from the house. And I think 5 Guys is very good. There are consistent reports that Carnival's grill makes good burgers and that RCL's are not so good. Ergo maybe RCL NEEDS JR's and Carnival doesn't need any outside burger joint. WHY bother eating burgers on a cruise anyway?

There are actually dozens if not hundreds of dishes to try on a cruise that you may never again experience. Why stuff a burger down your neck?

Carnival doesn't really NEED an extra pay burger joint because their burgers are amazing, cooked to order and can be topped anyway you like.

RCIs burgers sit in a steamer tray and are beyond gross from what I understand so if you want a decent burger you have to go to Johnny Rocket's.

I wouldn't mind other creative pay for venues but a burger one is not needed.
The OP said they would like to see 5 guys, not that anyone had to agree with that choice.

They wanted to know what YOU wanted to see.

I agree Teppanyaki would be a great show/meal and it could be both for dinner and lunch.
Is that like a benihanas:confused: Where they cook your food right at your table:confused:
If so...........Yes!

Is this Oasis of the Seas?

Really, I can enjoy the chain restaurants when at home.
Why do I need to take them with me on vacation?
People pay $30 for the steakhouse.......why not just eat a steak in the MDR:confused:
I can see paying for the steakhouse experience. Not only do you get a better cut of meat but the whole finer dining experience and atmosphere. JMO I don't find Johnny Rockets or 5 Guys worth paying extra over the burgers on the Lido. But to each his/her own.
