Thanks Radio; my comments ditto the others; fabulous pictures; I want to go to Bermuda now; having withdrawals knowing you will soon be off Explorer and no more great pictures even though I will see and board her tomorrow. Anxious to know where your next cruise is, so I can follow you. Never seen posts and fabulous threads and pictures like you have been giving us. Sincere thanks

THank you Radio!!! Can't wait to see more. This will be our fourth sailing on EOS coming up on the 14th. She still looks like she is in splendid condition. Is the solarium area in good shape? Any pics. Have you taken courses on photography or are you just a natural. The pics are absolutely wonderful.

Again, fabulous photos!

Question, your balcony looks in good condition. Have you noticed any balcony repair/painting going on? The only very disappointing thing on our June/July '10 sail was our balcony. It was in such bad disrepair that every time we went out there which was very, very often, we came in with paint chips on our feet and anywhere else it stuck on to us. Ewwww...bad bad RCI, that stuff is just toxic and I dont want it on my skin.

So, I wonder if the balconies on oops, I think we are on Deck 8 this December are in good condition without that icky peeling paint. (beleive me, no one wants to see those pics DH took!!)

I was just on the 9/2 EoS cruise to Canada that ended last saturday, and was in a 6th floor Balcony. I had no problem with any paint chips or the paint coming loose. However, as mentioned elsewhere, the balcony railing is in much need of varnish or something, as it is basically down to bare wood and is a bit of a sore spot on the balcony. A couple of rust spots in the corners as well, but otherwise our room was in great shape.

Radio, thank you again for all the time you spend entertaining those of us who had to remain at home. You are so kind to do this for us. Your pictures are beautiful and in all the trips i've made to Bermuda, i've never seen most of these places. I spend too much time in the stores in Hamilton!!!!

Tika, which Feb. cruise are you sailing on? We're on the Feb. 27th cruise. If you are also, come join our very active roll call.

Cheryl:)

Cheryl,

We're on the 12 night Southern Caribbean 2/6/11...........We'll keep the light on for ya :<)!

Hi Radio, great thread!! Looks like you are really enjoying your week.

I have a small request for you, could you please snap a shot or two of Adventure Beach and the golf/skating area?

Thanks so much!!

Hi jillyfish. . . I have several pics of those areas, and will be posting lots more photos when I return home tomorrow.

I have taken over 1200 pics so far, but only post about 18-24 pics per day. My photo album will have about 200 photos. That will be done before the weekend.

I also have the Compass Daily for each day. . .

Later today I will have many more pics ! Thanks for tuning in. . .

Hello everyone. . . After we sailed away, I was going to post again last night but the connection was a little. . . Well. . . I guess the thing to say was I just couldn’t connect.

I went to dinner, and the Diamond Party with Captain Olav Nyseter. He really loves the Explorer of the Seas, and it was nice to find out that he has the longest service record of employment with RCCL. His lovely wife was at the party as well.

He presented a bottle of Champagne to at guest with over 68 cruises. . . Wow ! That’s commitment. . .

I went to my nightly informal Cruise Critic meeting with MedicKen, and megr1125. . . It was nice for Meg to join us in the Connoisseur Club. Hostess, Bianca is a doll and put up with our many requests (with a beautiful smile). . . Of course MedicKen offered his usual humorous conversation, and Meg has some great stories to tell from her previous cruises. . . I would love to cruise with the 2 of them in the future. . .

Our Cruise Director and Entertainment staff had a huge 70’s - 80’s party in the Royale Promenade, and the music was very good. . . The RP was packed !

Here are afew pics from Sailaway yesterday, and last night. . .

Thanks for all of the nice comments, and thanks for tuning in !

Your photos are beautiful! I know you use a digital SLR but you can you recommend a good point and shoot? :) I need to replace mine.

Thanks,

Radio~ Thanks for letting us cruise with you! We just did Bermuda on NCL Dawn and sure there is no comparison to RCI. We only did NCL because we could have 3 days in beautiful Bermuda..However, FYI, never again on the Dawn. The Jewel, however, was wonderful in every aspect for our 14 days in Nov. 09.

Can't wait to see more pictures! Hope you had a great time. We'll be on the Explorer 11/7 for 12 fabulous (hopefully) days and nights.

Stay safe always!

P

DSJLcruise: I have been following Radio's Live posts.

Chris and I are on the Monarch early October and on the Allure preinaugural and inaugural in December. We too need this vacation to relax as 2 of our children got married this year and we haven't been on a vacation since we met on the Explorer last year.

Is there any way to get in touch with you?

Deb

Hello everyone. . . The worst part of any vacation is your final day, however today turned out to be a great day, with great weather including blue skies, lots of sun and beautiful calm seas.

I was lucky enough to be invited on a Bridge Tour. There were only about 23 Diamond Plus members on board and we were treated with a very nice tour that included a very proud and informative 2nd Officer.

After the tour our Cruise Critic Roll Call members had set up for a Slot Pull which was very fun. 20 Roll Call members all contributed $15 for 5 pulls on one of the Machines in the casino. The plan was for all members to have 3 slot pulls on the same machine, and we would share the winning of our efforts. We started at $300, and it was very fun. At the end we all ended up with 13.50, which wasn’t bad but we had great fun at the event ! This is the first time that I have tried this, and I can’t wait to do it again. Thanks MedicKen for organizing the fun !

I was able to go to the Spirits of the Seasons Ice show in Studio B. I Love Studio B, and this show was wonderful. The Ice Shows on board are always one of the best shows. . .

I am about to go to my final dinner onboard Explorer of the Seas, and there are still several events tonight including the Farewell Show, and Paradise Parade in the Royale Promenade. I will try to stay up to catch a few pics of whats going on. . .

Here are a few pics from today. . . More pics will be coming soon. . . This cruise isn’t over yet !

Thanks for all of the nice comments, and thanks for tuning in !
