Well I just got off of the phone with NCL, I was booked in a category SE, cabin 9000, Penthouse with large balcony, for our upcoming November cruise on the GEm. We had booked this room for our family of 4, and according to the rep the double sofa beds were delivered as single sofa beds. So we have been upgraded free of charge to a category S3 room 9504, A Haven Owners suite with large balcony. This was a pleasant surprise!:D

i received the same upgrade offer, (exact cabin 9504)however, refused it. currently booked in courtyard villa, so although owners suite has more square feet, the two separate bedrooms, as well as additional bathroom was more appealing to me. also, i staying on the 14th floor is more convenient. just hope i won't regret not having the much larger balcony on deck 9.

Lucky you!!

We have the cabin 9000 booked on the Star in November. Anyone know the sofabed situation on the Star - are they singles or doubles (if they've come in at all)? We've only got 3 people in that cabin (booked my other child in his grandparents' suite) so unfortunately no chance of getting upgraded for us :(

From the pictures of these suites I don't think that you could fit a double sleeper sofa in that spot - even with a smaller bed. As with some of the others, we are a party of three so we probably won't get any freebees either - just a wonderful view from a great deck and a bed that folds away during the day - perfect for the mother in law.:D

We've had these rooms a few times and totally agree. We both wondered how they were gonna fit it when it was first announced.

These rooms used to be named Romance Suites. :p

I was wondering how the heck they could all of a sudden say they sleep 4 when they were originally supposed to be a romantic room for 2!

Congratulations to all who booked an aft penthouse with 4 persons and have received an upgrade.

It's very nice of NCL to do this. ;)
