time4u2go Posted January 20, 2012 #176 Share Posted January 20, 2012 and the difference between a petition and hundreds of CCers personally e-mailing corporate??? But that's just my point...the OP declared this to be a petition, but it really isn't. There are actual online petition sites that could be used for such an activity. I do feel that hundreds of people emailing corporate regarding an issue would have more of a chance of making a difference than simply posting a "yes" message on this thread. Obviously it doesn't hurt to post "yes" messages here, but I seriously doubt it will make any difference whatsoever. JMHO.
Rare orville99 Posted January 20, 2012 #177 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Yes, but only if they bring the price down or allow one person to purchase instead of every adult in the cabin.

Cruisin824 Posted January 20, 2012 #180 Share Posted January 20, 2012 I would love it too. I hope RCI is listening. How do you get your message boards to talk? I don't hear a thing! :D Oh yeah ...I vote NO!

Emperor Norton Posted January 20, 2012 #183 Share Posted January 20, 2012 So I'm curious. All the people saying no because they feel the cruise will turn into some kind of uber out of control animal house style frat party - What lines have you been on where you've seen such behavior? Was the booze free on those? Also I'm not sure why someone would equate AI drinks with class. RCI is several rungs below Silversea, Regent and Seabourn in the class department (or so the interwebs tell me - actual pax experience may differ...) yet they have AI drinks (well except for the Louis XIII). Really I'm mostly curious why the people saying no to anothers ability to purchase a package are seeing cataclysmic times should such a package be made available. My experince has been entirely the opposite. The only cruise where I saw out of control drunks on board was Disney which only had a wine at dinner package when I sailed (and they were wasted morning noon and night). On Radisson/Regent and Silversea I don't recall any obnoxiosly drunk pax aboard.

SNJCruisers Posted February 27, 2012 #190 Share Posted February 27, 2012 If you buy a drink package, and then get cut off by a bartender, what happens then? You stumble and stammer until you reach another bar that has a bartender that will serve you;)

bplazo Posted February 27, 2012 #192 Share Posted February 27, 2012 No. If you want all-inclusive cruising, choose a line which offers it. If you want all-inclusive land vacation, choose a resort which offers it. All-inclusive drinks on what is commonly described as a "family friendly" cruise line is not what I want to see. Too easily abused, IMO. And sorry - a bunch of yes's in agreement with you on an Internet discussion board is not going to sway them. I am so tired of hearing "family friendly" cruise line. There are other people on this ship so it is not always people with families. So, I will say yes even though I do not drink.

Speaking to the choir with that comment.....if people want "family friendly", go cruise on a Disney ship...there are too many adults who bring their rug rats on ships and let them run wild and think nothing of it. pichjoe Posted February 27, 2012 #195 Share Posted February 27, 2012 Purchased the classic package the last two cruises to Bermuda on the Summit, nice to get what you want from coffee, soda, wine and beer and not have to worry about how much your spending. Also a nice way to try drinks that your not sure about. A yes for the wife and myself.
henchgt Posted February 27, 2012 #196 Share Posted February 27, 2012 Coming from the Chicago area, I think the drink prices are very competitive on the ships. If I had a choice I would sign up for an all inclusive.

hexonx Posted February 27, 2012 #198 Share Posted February 27, 2012 Personally I can careless, I wouldn't mind seeing the option but I doubt I would take it. I have no issue with drink prices for the most part, they are in line with any other place you travel to. Now how about free drinks in the casino, that's something I would rather see :)
Lyann Posted February 27, 2012 #199 Share Posted February 27, 2012 I think if Royal were consistent across their ships with alcohol packages we would not be having this discussion. From what I can gather they are still deciding on whether to have it on fleet wide. I can't see why some should have and others not including Celebrity. Time they got it sorted out once and for all. A big YES from me.:)

And yeah, at least a discount on drinks in the casino would be nice. But I guess that's another petition.
