Sailing on the Crown April 7th...

1. Go for a Pre-dinner Happy Hour at Vines and enjoy the tapas and sushi.

2. Go to a Pub lunch and have Fish and Chips!

3. Try to get picked as a martini-shaker-girl in the demo! Don't you get to sample your hard work? :p

4. Go to the Piano Bar one night with all my gang or whoever's interested, and all sing along and have a ball!

5. Try the Crown Grill for the first time. Mmmm.

Can't wait !!!

Don't know how Princess is marketing this program, as our server just asked for our wine order for dinner and didn't offer any information about the wine card. We think this wine card is perfect for us as we enjoy a bottle with dinner every evening. I was fortunate to find a lovely waitress this morning who provided me with the detailed list of the packages offered.

 

Silver Package

 

Select any wine from the wine list under $29.00

 

5 bottles $120.00

7 bottles $161.00

10 bottles $210.00

12 bottles $240.00

 

Gold Package

 

Select any wine from the wine list under $45.00

 

5 bottles $160.00

7 bottles $217.00

10 bottles $290.00

12 bottles $336.00

 

If you wish to order a bottle of wine that is more expensive than the maximum from your package, you are only charged the difference.

 

You receive a wine card that is punched every time you get a bottle. You can only get the wine in the dining room and any unused punches can be exchanged for bottles that you can take home at the end of the cruise.

The card does not carry over from one cruise to the next.

Sounds like a great program.... but I have 2 questions

 

Is it being offered fleet wide... or at least on CB?

Also will it carry over if the cruise is b2b?

I keep meaning to do some things and don't get around to making them. I still haven't tried the gelato or Vines. With late seating for dinner, it's hard for us to go the show and still have enough energy to go to the piano bar afterward. We did finally get to do the Ultimate Balcony Dinner. It's our new favorite thing.

 

My top five:

 

1. Get to Elite status so we can enjoy the added perks.

2. Qualify for the captain's lunch for most traveled passengers. (We have a long way to go.)

3. Try the Crown Grill.

4. Win a spa treatment.

5. Do the UBD again.

3. Dance with my non-dancer hubby

4. Try to get in the Wedding Game

5. Watch every sailaway from the deck

1. Try an AFt cabn

2. Try vines with tapas and sushi

3. Trans-atlantic cruise

4. Some day become Elite and have THOSE perks!

5. Shake the Commodore's hand some day. Missed the chance on the Ruby. Was too embarrassed!:o

This will be our first Princess cruise so my list of must-dos is actually more than 20 items long already. I narrowed it down to my top few here:

 

1. Enjoy a glass of moscato d'asti with brunch in the Sanctuary overlooking the Coral's wake

2. Try a new martini or frou-frou drink every day.

3. Ultimate Balcony Breakfast

4. Take dance classes with my rhythmically-challenge husband (while wearing steel-toed shoes)

5. Practice sunrise yoga on one of the big aft balconies

6. Sing karaoke for the first time with my best friend

7. Take afternoon tea

8. Enjoy the sauna and steam rooms

 

I'm so glad this will be a 15 day cruise because I'm going to need the time to get everything checked off my list! :D

5. Our own wine on our balcony

So sorry you were too embarrassed to shake the Commodores hand...he was very nice and very gracious! We were lucky enough to get chosen to do the Ultimate Ship Tour and got to spend some time with him on the Bridge....very nice! As a matter of fact, DH and I had our picture taken with him and he took off his cap and put it on my head! LOL!

You are so right. The stuffed olives and cheese styx at Adagio are terrific. And the off-menu Escargot is a real treat. Had them both on the Ruby for the New Year's Eve cruise. Fantastic!

almonds, garlic clove, lemon peel, blue cheese and maybe jalapeno. There's 5 different stuffings and our great server asked which we preferred each evening.
