Current On Board Ultimate Value Coupons by C&A Level

Recommended Posts

DH is considering renting a Tux for our cruise. How can you apply a coupon from the value book to the rental of a tux?: He would want to handle this before we embark so that it is waiting when we arrive.

You can apply the coupon once you are on board and the difference will be credited to your SeaPass Account.

Wouldn't you think they'd be embarrased to include some of those coupons? 10% off a glass of beer or wine? That's a "value" of 47.5 oto 90 cents. I'd sure not fill out the form for 45 cents on what's going to be a 6$ beer. Diamond sees thier discount skyrocket up to a possible dollar and eighty cents. Wow.

A penny saved is a penny earned:p Personally, I'm grateful for the coupon book and we do use a lot of the coupons. There are more left in it at end of cruise, but even if we save a few dollars, that a few less we have to cough up.

Diamond also gets as many specialty coffees as you want at the Diamond breakfast event every morning in the MTD and we went through 3 or 4 each every morning last December on Mariner. I hear now that the new Diamond Lounge is in place you can't do breakfast with that deal any more:( Hope the capuccino in the lounge is as good. But I figure we drank them out of around $150 in coffee revenues. I am satisfied with our perks.:)

I'm also for the specialty coffee anytime. I'm always in for a carmel latte late afternoon!!!:D

Familygoboston-yes, the kids ones are different. just can not remember the type things thay have. I remember some free game time at the arcade is one. that comes in handy for sure!!!;)

Thanks Debde, my girls aren't much for the arcade, but if we combined all the internet coupons I'm thinking I could let them check Face Book;). We've enjoyed coupons for years, but our Royal cruises were always just for "us", this will be only their second Royal cruise!

When the coffee machine in the CL/DL is working, we think it's better than the coffee we used to get in the Diamond breakfast, mainly because it's hotter. You will quickly get used to walking to breakfast via the CL/DL. Plus, you get to make your specialty coffee at times other than breakfast.

Just couple of random questions about the coupons... :o

Johnny Rockets - 2 for 1 milkshake

I assume all coupon books are the same, so I'd receive this coupon even if my ship does not have a Johnny Rockets? (Possibly could be saved for later use?)

1 Free Casino "Spin to Win" Coupon

1 Casino Credit $5.00 USD Match Play Casino Certificate

Could someone familiar with the casino elaborate on what these coupons are for?

Airbrushed Temporary Tattoos - purchase any size temporary airbrush tattoo and receive a free gold color upgrade.....a $2.00 USD Savings.

Not a coupon I would likely use, but just curious what ships have this service, and where you'd go to get it.

Is the Diamond Lounge open all day for coffee?? or is it only opened in the morning and for cocktails in the evening?

Both the DL and CL are available 24 hours via your key card. There may be no one else there, but you are welcome to use the coffee machine at all times.

In the mornings, they will have a continental breakfast layout until 10am or so. Radiance also had small sandwiches at lunchtime, but I've never seen that elsewhere.

Great!! That's good to know. We haven't been on a ship with a DL yet so didn't know if they kept it open all day like they do the CL. Our cabin is just 2 decks up and directly over the DL so that would be the place for me to get my coffee. I'm a big coffee drinker..............LOL

Thanks for the information.

We love the coffee machine in either the CL or the DL. We were so sad when it was broken most of our cruise on the Allure, We use it every morning and again in the afternoon when we get our cookies. It makes a great cappucino, we make ours with an extra shot of espresso...can taste it now. Enjoy it!

On The Voyager of the Seas it was a shop on the Promenade. And the tatoos lasts about 7 days, if you are lucky.

Free spin to win gets you a token to use in a special slot machine that pays out things like key rings, t-shirts, polo shirts, money. We usually win a key ring.

Not 100% sure about all the uses for the $5 match play, but we used it once on red/black at the roulette wheel. You put $5 of your own down in addition to the coupon, and if you win, you get $15 (your original $5, plus $10 in winnings) back.

Not a coupon I would likely use, but just curious what ships have this service, and where you'd go to get it.

See answers in RED above.

Yes, you'd probably receive this coupon and could conceivable hold onto it for future use. However, technically speaking, the coupons are valid for "THIS CRUISE ONLY", so it'd be against the rules to use them on a subsequent cruise. I'm sure it happens, though.

1 Free Casino "Spin to Win" Coupon

1 Casino Credit $5.00 USD Match Play Casino Certificate

The first coupon lets you get a free spin on a slot machine that pretty much only awards token prizes, if you're even that lucky. You might win a keychain or a T-shirt... or you might win nothing. It's a fun way to spend a few seconds in the casino.

The match play coupon is used with "even money" bets (those that pay the same as your bet) like blackjack and roulette's odd/even, red/black, or 1-18/19-36 bets. I think you can use it on craps' pass line bet, too. You place the coupon along with your $5 bet. If you lose, well, you lose the coupon and the $5. If you win, however, you win $10 (and they still take the coupon). So, it's a chance to win an extra $5. (If you're playing blackjack and it's a push (tie), they leave the coupon along with your $5 so you get to try again.)

If I remember correctly, I've seen a sign on the Royal Promenade advertising this service. I don't know which ships have it, though.

I have heard mixed answers on the following question so i thought I would ask here for something definitive. Can you go to Johnny Rockets and order your 2 for 1 milkshakes to go with the coupon and not pay the cover charge? Thanks in advance.

Also a comment on how I use the casino match play coupons. Since I am the only one in my family that plays in the casino (usually blackjack) I collect up all of the match play coupons from my family and sit at the table with a stack of coupons and a stack of chips. When all of the coupons are spent I cash out and see if I am ahead (usually). If I win I don't feel so bad about going back to play another time!

It may depend on ship, but we were able to do that on Voyager last December.

In my experience, you can even have your milkshakes there at Johnny Rockets without paying the $4.95 cover charge. It's a great night cap. :)

We had friends that did Allure back in April and this was their experience also.

Speaking of the 4.95 surcharge, is there a limit to what you can order. Like can you just order a meal (drink, chips, burger) or can you feasibly order quite a few different burgers all for one cover charge?

Also anyone have a menu for JR? Wouldnt mind looking at one.

Thanks

You may order as many as you can eat. But that stuff is VERY filling.

They just keep bringing the fries and onion rings.

Grease heaven!
