crisndeefromde Posted August 8, 2012 #302 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Awesome report Radio!!! We were in Vegas last week. I just woke Dee up to show him that you were going under Bay Bridge!!! Then i had to tell him that was the other day...lol I figured it would make him smile as he is having knee surgery in the morning. So the next few days he will get some cruise critic reading done...ha ha. Enjoy your time left onboard!!!
Rare Radio Posted August 8, 2012 Author #303 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Yummm, Lobster nite, my favorite.. On our past few cruises the head waiter did the same thing, offered us more than one Lobster to our table, so good. Your grandson is so sweet, beautiful baby.. So sad that there will be one more day of postings. Reading your postings have become our nightly ritual. Enjoy your Evening with your family. Thanks again for all the nice postings and photos. Thanks for the nice comments, Angelsea57. . .I know that several passengers often ask for more servings, but I can't remember the waiter offering, suggesting, insisting that we order more ! It was a nice gesture. Radio ;);) .
Rare Radio Posted August 8, 2012 Author #304 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Radio, Great pix of Bermuda. Makes me want to go back soon. I am in the broadcast industry and our company has tshirts with Radio on the front and "When you're good Broadcast It". You are certainly good. I will bring you a tshirt when we cruise together on the Enchantment in January. Thanks again for sharing your vacation. PS. Your grandson is adorable - love the blond curls. Thank you very much for the nice comments ! ;) I will accept the tshirt with a smile and a thank you ! Radio ;);)
Rare Radio Posted August 8, 2012 Author #305 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Hello everyone. . .Good Morning. Welcome to DAY 6 of “LIVE” from Enchantment of the Seas. Last night I wasn’t able to make it to the Stage to Screen show due to an important meeting with “Lady Luck” in Casino Royale. . .I was however able to view the Love and Marriage Show, and Karaoke in Boleros. I applaud these brave passengers for getting in front of a crowd to perform. Some were very good, but all received the admiration of fellow passengers. I am not sure why I woke up so early. . .We gained an extra hour of sleep last night, but I am up so I decided to get a few pics that I might not have posted for new Enchantment of the Seas Cruisers. . .The early morning hours seem to be the best time for me because the cleaning lights are turned way up so the cleaners can get the ship to look as nice as she does. We are still 290nm from the Cape Henry Pilot station where will pick up our pilot for transit up the Chesapeake Bay. Captain Gus has suggested that we are scheduled to pick up the pilot by 930 tonight. There will be a lot of passengers out on the decks to get a local wireless signal with no additional charges. I have a few tours scheduled for today at 10AM, 1PM, and 5PM. I hope to be able to post a few pics later this afternoon from the tours. There are so many activities scheduled today that I know that many things may be missed. The skies are cloudy and it looks like rain, but you never know how things work out on a day at sea. . . Here are a few pics from last night and this morning. . . Thanks for tuning in ! Radio Brave passengers were participating in Karaoke in Boleros Lounge The Love and Marriage show is always very fun I love the nautical appointments that the Schooner Bar offers The Spotlight Lounge is where many of the Crown and Anchor parties are held. The beautiful Central will be transformed into the “Centrum Wow” experience during her next drydock. Very early morning up on Deck 9 .

It is pretty neat when the ship passes the Cheseapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel around 10 to 11PM. You see all those cars and trucks coming across the water and disappear under the waves as they enter the tunnel.

Fawkes_2426 Posted August 8, 2012 #317 Share Posted August 8, 2012 . Radio, what are you using to track your location? Looks like some kind of GPS connected software? I'd love to do the same thing next time out. Thanks. ____________________
laddcalcagno Posted August 8, 2012 #318 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Radio, So excited to travel along with you this week. Its getting me even more excited to leave on Explorer next week. I have a question about SPB. We're anticipating going there as an alternative to Horseshoe because its close and we have a wheelchair member in our party. Its not easy to find wheelchair transport in Bermuda and the one taxi we knew of that was equipped is already booked. I'm concerned about the beach being unsafe for the chair if your SIL got cuts on his feet. Your thoughts? Thanks
MedicKen Posted August 9, 2012 #319 Share Posted August 9, 2012 I'm so glad you had a great cruise with your family. Too bad it soon over. BUT think ahead a few more weeks and you can do it again.

Angelsea57 Posted August 9, 2012 #321 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Hello everyone. . . After my last post I was able to have a nice lunch, watched the news for 90 minutes, and head down to Casino Royale for a friendly exchange. The Casino and Shopped will be packed tomorrow. The last day at sea is surely the busiest day (most profitable) for ships. I still have to try t o make the “Stage to Screen” production Show. . .I will try to make it to the Love and Marriage show as well. . .That is always one of the funniest shows on board. We had a very nice dinner tonight, and the whole table ordered the Seafood Platter (Lobsters). The waiters were insistent that my 2 DSIL’s order more than one. . . They were very happy. I haven’t looked at the Cruise Compass for tomorrow, but I am sure it will be filled with non stop activities. Tomorrow will be the final day to buy a gift, win in the Casino, or take a swim. I really over packed for this trip. . .I don’t know what I was thinking. . . I will taking home many clothes that I haven’t worn yet for this cruise. Here are a few pics from this afternoon. . . Radio The Jump Zone has attracted many passengers on this sailing. . . The forecast for tomorrow is rain, so there are only a few more hours of sun ! I wish more ships had an authentic teak decking on the Promenade. . . We are happy to have such calm seas on this trip In the Concierge Lounge tonight : “Can I have just 1 more cracker please?” The sun begins to set on Day 5 of our delightful Cruise. . Radio, This is what I was commenting on. Just referring to the seafood on your post. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for such great postings, have a great evening and safe travels home. Till your next live posting. Hurry back.
Rare Radio Posted August 9, 2012 Author #322 Share Posted August 9, 2012 Hello everyone. . . After my post way early this morning I had a nice breakfast up in the Windjammer. I has to study my Cruise Compass, as I had a lot planned for today. I started off going to the Galley tour which was very nice. . .There were only 4 of us on the tour so it was a good chance to see what was happening behind the scenes. Nitin Manwatkar, the Executive Sous Chef took his time and showed us many part of the galley operation while answering questions about different aspect of the how the kitchen works. I went also to Captains Corner, where the Captain and some of his executive staff answer questions about the Ship, and how things work while on board. On stage were the Chief Engineer, Hotel Director and Cruise Director. He answered a lot of question. This is one of my favorite parts of the cruise. Later in the day, I went on a Navigational Bridge Tour. This may have been my favorite tour of the trip. The tour was hosted by Officer Cadet, Oliver Revwick. He has only been on the ship for a couple of moths and is studying to become an Officer for RCI. This guy knows a lot, and he is very proud of being selected as a Cadet (Intern) and possibly being hired as an Officer. I had a nice dinner with my family, and everyone agreed that it was a great cruise. There were 4 generation of our family together. . . All of us have cruised often, but it was nice to have everyone together. I slept a lot today, and I should have used a few minutes to pack. . .I guess I will be up late tonight to get my final things done. . . I still have to go down to Casino Royale to see if my luck is holding up. Here are a few pics from today. . . More pics tomorrow morning from our arrival. Thanks for tuning in ! Radio Just before breakfast, I walk by the Oasis Bar on Deck 9. The sunny Windjammer Marketplace was very empty a 7AM Nitin Manwatkar, Executive Sous Chef offered a very detailed Galley Tour The tastings area where Food and beverage heads can make changes if something is wrong. . . The Chief Engineer, Captain, Hotel Director and Cruise Director answer questions during the Captain’s Corner. There was a good crowd for this event. . . .
