What do you do when you have the "cruise blues" ?

What do you do when you have the cruise blues ??

 

Do you plan your next trip ?

 

Do you look around for new itineraries ?

 

Do you look for great deals ?

 

Personally I read this board every day and since my next cruise will be aboard the Breakaway, I look at the ship on portbermudawebcam.com, I loooove the quality of the image.... and the ship ;)

 

can't wait to cruise again :(

How can you have the cruise blues when you are sailing the Breakaway in 5 months? The blues happen once you are home and no cruises booked.

THEN the blues sink in. The only cure is to book another one :)

If I don't have another cruise booked I find one and then I begin obsessing about that upcoming cruise and relive my past cruise with pictures.:eek:

All of the above!!! Our Jade cruise was way too far away so we just booked a quickie 7 day during a sale. Really wanted to book the Star transatlantic/Panama Canal, but can't get away in Sept-Oct.

That's what I do. Except I think doing that makes it worse. I then come on here to read reviews and see pictures. That makes the blues even deeper. Oh Cruise Critic...Look what you've done!

All of the above! It's so bad that I booked a quick getaway (no pun intended) to the Florida Gulf Coast so I can get my feet in the sand and hear the whisper of palm fronds. It's not the same but it will be enough to get me thru to January......I HOPE!!!!!!

All of the above for me too. I watch the Bermuda port cam for the Breakaway. Any ship moored next to it is dwarfed by it.

 

Since I have been on the Dawn, I love watching her too.

I have the cruise blues....big time! I had to cancel one last year because of family illness. Now I had to cancel my cruise on the Epic for this coming November too. I am really sad about this but just cant do this length of trip away from home anymore, so yes...I have the cruise blues.

 

My first reaction was to stay away from Cruise critic and anything else cruise related, but like a moth to a flame, I come back now for a peek at the boards, in the hope that some day in the future before I get too old or too sick, I will once again get an opportunity to go on a cruise.

 

All I can say is to anyone who cruises... is; don't take it for granted. You never know when the cruise you are on will be your last one. Enjoy every single nano second, and don't get upset if the food is not 5 star, or if the buffet lines are long, and there are too many chair hogs. You are just so darn lucky to be on a cruise. Just enjoy it to the max.

I watch all the webcams. The soggy dollar bar cam, the port bermuda cam and the NYC harbor cam. These get mr through u ntil the next cruise.

From mid-October 2010 until 12/31/2012, more than two years, we had no cruises booked and no budget for one. I'd read CC daily, re-read my cruise journals, looked at cruise photos and drooled over cruise schedules.

Finally we were able to do a booking but it's still more than 4 months away.

So I still hang out on CC board, including roll call.

I went on youtube and watched the episodes of The World cruise ship :eek:

 

I want one of those condos at sea !!!

 

But the prices are :eek: and the monthly fees are :eek::eek: ....but if I won it all at the casino....I would buy one in a minute !!

I look at reviews and pictures here on CC. I look at my pictures of past cruises. Then I plan for my next cruise.

 

This is how I handle the cruise blues. With the addition of constantly viewing the Bermuda webcam. :D

I only get the cruise blues when we don't have another cruise booked. And then I avoid CC and anything cruise related, except the gazillion cruise pictures that are on my screen savers!

 

But when we are planning, or have another cruise or two booked I am all over CC, and during the AK sailing season we are watching the ships come and go all the time, since we live in Seattle.

 

I love talking about cruising, to anyone who wants to listen. 3 friends are coming over tonight for dinner. One of them has never been on a cruise before and she is hungry for any info, since they are going in just a few weeks. I could probably show her about 6,000 pictures, but I think I'll have to pare down! :)
