Faster to the Fun Tender back priority?

I've heard of people claiming to get priority tendering back to the ship because of their platinum status, but I think it was more a case of them feeling "entitled" and walking to the front of the line and nobody wanted to fight with them about it...

I watched a bunch of drunks bully their way onto the next available tender in Grand Cayman even though the line was a half mile long. They "weren't feeling well..." Yeah, well neither was I! Those of us who had waited in the hot sun for close to an hour were annoyed, but they were escorted onboard anyway.

For a VERY brief time priority tender return was being done, several years ago.

In Avalon we were once put into the front of the line by Carnival personnel when they saw our platinum cards around our necks. The line was all of 20 people long.

Stand in line and wait just like the rest. No entitlements here. We don't need any. What is the rush to get back?

Maybe if you are in your 80s, enjoying your twilight years by taking a cruise and standing in a long line, in the hot sun, it would be nice to get back to the ship a little earlier.

As you can see, FTTF only applies to board for the first time, everything else is get in line like everyone else. Sucks huh - you would have expected more for $49.95. :D

Honestly i think it was well worth it.....when i went to purser's desk and the line was 15 people long it was nice to jump to the front :) Money well spent!

Every tender port I've ever visited, our technique is: find a nice shady bar within sight of the tenders, (there's always one :D) order a cold beverage or two, then just "chillax" talking about the day's events, out of the sun until the line is mostly gone, then leisurely saunter up and walk onboard the tender.... cool, happy, and stress free. You know, like we're on vacation?

And no, before the usual CC monsters pipe up, we are not delaying anyone, just choosing to "wait in line" in an alternate location. Usually there's even a couple tenders after us...

Chances are there will be some crew members in the bar with you, just watch them and leave when they do. ;)

Interesting idea. Usually by 2 pm or so after 3-4 hours on the beach (HMC) and a nice lunch we are ready to go back early afternoon when there is no line.

They are getting more than they deserve as it is, why would you expect more?

Hi

I was wondering if the FTTF program allowed you to reboard the ship on tenders in a priority line. Specifically, in Cabo there was a long line to get back on the ship last time, is there a tender priority line for the return tender? Thanks

That would be nice, but it's wishful thinking!!!
