“Live” from the "Allure of the Seas": Western - Nov 17-24,2013

Recommended Posts

Good Evening...

Today has been another wonderful and busy day aboard the Allure of the Seas. It started out with room service and a nice relaxing morning on my balcony with a couple cups of coffee over looking the ocean and the boardwalk. That quiet time quickly progressed to our CC meet and mingle and then our slot pull. After our slot pull we progressed to the dining room for a great lunch. Not really sure where the time went today because before I knew it, it was 2pm.

Look even the little people have their own chairs.

Made my way around the ship enjoying our day at sea. Later in the afternoon I made my way to the beach pool and hung out with Breezy, Husker, Lisa &Anthony. Was a nice afternoon and pool side conversation. Made my way back to my room for a bit and a brief nap before dinner at Gio's. Woke up from my nap around 615. My reservation was at 630. Was a speedy shower and change. Had a very nice waiter, don't recall his name but he was nice and asked if I had any shows I needed to get to. I advised I didn't but to put me on the fast track to eat as I was meeting up with friends at 8:00 to eat again. I was out of there just before 8. My meal was fairly good with my dessert being the best. I have no idea what it was as I didn't look at the menu and went with my waiters suggestion.

Made my way to the MDR for my second meal with Bugsy, Breezy, Husker and another nice couple from our roll call.

After dinner made a contribution to the casino and then walked around the ship for a bit. This ship never has felt crowded to me.

Some good news though in my search for Andy is I found him at the bow of the ship in the Solarium hot tub. Good thing he didn't get caught as I'm really not sure he is over 21.

Because of his antics I'm having tonight's towel animal watch after him. Hope he behaves. Tomorrow we are in Labadee and I'll be enjoying some quiet time on shore and doing the Dragon Zip line. That's all for today though, I must now get some sleep.

We have been rocking and rolling this afternoon and evening, it's rather nice. Seemed as though we passed thru a rain storm for a bit too.

Till a later time, "Live" from the "Allure of the Seas"!

I love your review so far, have a fun time in Labadee! I can't wait to be on the Allure, four months from today we will be four days into our Allure cruise. WOO HOO...don't want to hurry time, but ready for my spring break cruise. I don't know what I'm going to call my March cruises once my daughter is in college and no longer wants to share her spring breaks with us...LOL

What was the drink you had? (pina colada looking with greenish specks) Looked yummy!

Thanks again for sharing your cruise with us!

I am new to CC and am not sure what Live even means let alone how to follow - can anyone help me. I am going on the Allure December 15th and am so excited so any pointers for me would be appreciated.

"Live" means the poster is posting their review while on the ship, as it unfolds. Other reviews are post cruise.

Welcome to CC!

In my hunt for Andy I decided to stop off and have a drink or two at the On Air with Bugsy.

Reading the Cruise Compass, I didn't realize that RCCL now openly admits that Labadee is in Haiti, rather than the "Hispaniola" generic name they previously used to hide the fact that it was in Haiti.

My last Caribbean cruise I went on it was still "Hispaniola" (sort of like saying the State of North Carolina is in 'North America')

Weather looks beautiful, enjoy your day on one of my favorite places: Labadee, HAITI! :)

Well, you are in for a treat. You have the best cruise director in the fleet, Richard Spacey!!

Enjoy!!!!!

We're new to cruising in general, but I keep seeing Richard's name mentioned a lot in the few months I've been reading here, so I'm intrigued by it and can't wait to experience everything! :)

We made our way off the island to the crews Cabana. I was following along so I knew where they all would be and then go off exploring.
