$99 NCL Sky Sept 5 4 nighter. Includes Open Bar (no service charge on this ship). I was beginning to think this thread was good and dead

That cruise is cheaper than staying home.........think about it,

I'm glad this thread resurfaced............we call these cruises dollar 99 cruises as you see a lot of $ 199.00 3 to 5 days

We live in Jacksonville. Easy drive to three ports......Six hours to S.florida. We are retired. DH is Fl. Native. I have been in FL. since 1968. We get military. Senior.Resident. sometimes casino rates. On Carnival. Princess Platinum. HAL. NCR. Several cruises. My husband says we have more sea days than most sailors.

Love this thread but...............Still have to find a place for much loved dog. Still have to work around Dr. Appointments. Family gatherings. Birthdays of Grand Child.

STill.................the cruise we booked a week from sailing on the Carnival Dream, after a family misunderstanding of which we wanted NO part in it.........so we left town..........was at a great price and one of the best cruises we ever took. We were in an inside on Upper level..........next to an elevator.......I liked it. I am not much of a sleeper. In that cabin, we had to have phone call to wake us up. IT is true some sleep well in an inside. cabin. DH has a bit of claustrophobia. Still remember just packing up and getting out of town.

when we got home.....issue was solved. Meanwhile we had been sailing the Caribbean. That was PRE Dog.

Great thread. Great advice. BOOKING as early as you is a huge price saver for me.

Currently they have a day at sea instead of their private island stop because of construction there; that combined with kids back in school and between summer and "holiday" season makes it a really "off" time. I was on that ship last year and there was actually a lot to like about the trip. If I could quickly move my schedule around I'd book. I'd book just about anything for $99 though if my schedule allowed :D

Awesome! Thank you for posting. We now live close enough to drive to Florida. Hope this thread gets going again!

One question--I have never heard of Open Bar on a cruise ship, does it mean what it sounds like?

Just what it sounds like. It is unique to the NCL Sky. No additional charges. Open Bar every day, all day. Not ALL of the selections as on other ships, but plenty sufficient.

Not quite to this thread's level, but $159 pp fares on Majesty are fairly common on the GGG flier.

It seems off, cause its $159 on RC's site, but when you go to check out it equals $599.00

if its 159 + 90 for taxes x 2 = $498.

Where is the extra $100 coming from

RCI web site math - it could be a glitch and you need to call to get the correct price.

Another good reason to include the post date in the original thread starter!

The date is on the original post.

Plus, this thread runs "forever" :D

All markets go through a cycle, this thread will not stay dormant forever...

If the date was noted in the thread starter I suspect many folks would not bother to open a thread over three years old.
