Our darling son Kevin lost his life in a car accident Thursday evening. We are all just devastated. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. :(:(:(

So sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family in this time of deepest sorrow.

Such beautiful words!! Thank You so much, to the entire Cruise Critic community for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers. I can't begin to tell you how much they have comforted us during what was the worst week of our lives. The pain will never go completely away, but you have helped with the healing process, as we move forward with our lives. For that we are eternally grateful.

We have decided to continue with our plans to sail on the Carnival Liberty in August. Kevin was really looking forward to this cruise, because he wasn't able to go with us the past two years due to other commitments. He was really excited about being able to play blackjack with us in the casino, and enjoy a drink with us on the islands. We'll really miss him not being there with us, but as a family we will really need this time to get away. We know that Kevin will be there with us in spirit.

Finally, to all parents out there, please hug or call your children today, and tell them that you love them, because you never know.....

Thanks again and God Bless.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I'm sure your wonderful son would want you to continue on your cruise, and be there in spirit with you! After a loss in my family my husband and I were undecided about continuing on a vacation we had planned... We are very glad that we went ahead and spent this time together, it gave us a chance to relax and reflect.

So sorry for your loss. I'm glad your have found a little comfort here amongst your fellow cruisers. We would have supported you whichever route you decided to take. He was a handsome young man. The Heaven's must have needed a new angel.

Dear Jammann, so sorry to hear of your loss..i am sure he will be with you in spirit and i will send some prayers tonight.

It is good to reach out and take care of yourselves as you are doing..this weekend is a big birthday for my dad..and we lost mom 2 years ago come this August...it is better..you don't get over it but it gets at peace somehow each month a bit better and sad is ok..letting it out is the best..each time I find more relief and I just say stop stop to self if it goes too long at times when I can't let that happen..and keep your faith and hope alive for now and the next step..Peace be with you (my favorite way to put it generically)..and Love to you and yours...Sarah
