Our darling son Kevin lost his life in a car accident Thursday evening. We are all just devastated. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. :(:(:(

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts and prayers. We are blessed to have such strong and wonderful support groups, both locally and globally. Here is Kevin's obituary.

 

Kevin J. Maskall

 

Somerset

 

Kevin Maskall passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the age of 19. He was born in Edison, and was a lifelong resident of Franklin Township. He went through the Franklin Township Public Schools and continued his education at Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School. He was currently employed by Lowe’s in Hillsborough.

 

Kevin was a dedicated Chicago Bulls fan who loved playing basketball with his many friends. He was also a music lover who enjoyed playing the guitar. Kevin loved taking cruise vacations with his family as well as trips to many other vacation spots.

 

Kevin was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents: Andrew and Marie Maskall and his maternal grandparents; John and Nancy Hurley.

 

Kevin is survived by his loving parents and brother; Jeffrey and Patricia Maskall and Ryan Maskall, all of Somerset. He is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles: Andrea and Frank Mahovetz of Perth Amboy and Gary and Margaret Hurley of Freehold and his two cousins: Brian Hurley and Erin Maniscalco.

 

Friends and family may visit from 4-8 PM on Wednesday at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. Services will begin at 9:15 Thursday at the Gleason Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Somerset. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Somerset.

Jeff, that is just terrible news. We will keep you and your family and especially your son in our thoughts and pravers. Losing a loved one is hard, a child is terrible. Stay tough and rely on family and friends during this tough time tog et through and think of all the wonderful things that occurred during his brief stay here.
