Da-Painter Posted March 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2015 On the Dawn in January, it was in the theatre, there were about 20 people playing, would think they would eventually stop offering it, as not much interest anymore.
ainecaine Posted March 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2015 On the breakaway in February just gone and this was very popular. Atrium was packed solid.
NH Cruisers Posted March 15, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Do they still play this game in the atrium? Not on the DAWN or GEM that I remember.
Dardreamer Posted March 15, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Sorry forgot to ask - on the Breakaway for deal or no deal. We sailed two years ago and they played it on the large screen in Atrium two or three nights and was wondering if they still have this. Thank you. Rare Cloudyrain Posted March 15, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 15, 2015 I hope they do, I won about £100 (I think it was, a little unsure as it was in $ and they confuse me!) on the Spirit the other year, it was very popular then (at least it was with me and Mr C!) Cruzncutie Posted March 15, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2015 I was on the BA last March and again in August. The Epic last December. The atrium was jam packed for each game. It's played several times during the cruise.
din2play2 Posted March 15, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have only seen it on TV. How do they play it with 20 people? If it's like the one on TV, I thought there was just one person up there. Is it a different way of playing?
zqvol Posted March 15, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 15, 2015 It was on the Dawn the first week of this month.

If it's like the one on TV, I thought there was just one person up there. Is it a different way of playing? If I understand correctly you need to buy a card to play the game. Only one passenger gets picked to play on the big screen, but the other passengers can play along using their own cards.
jerseyjjs Posted March 16, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Sorry forgot to ask - on the Breakaway for deal or no deal. We sailed two years ago and they played it on the large screen in Atrium two or three nights and was wondering if they still have this. Thank you. I was just on the Breakaway Feb 22 sailing and they had the Deal or no Deal in the theater. About 200 or so were there playing.
Rare mitsugirly Posted March 16, 2015 #14 Share Posted March 16, 2015 We have seen this on just about every cruise for several years. When we went, it was always in the theater. While we have seen both big and small crowds, I would never say it's packed when in the theater. But that's just our experience.
tkjohn25 Posted March 16, 2015 #15 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Just got of Breakaway yesterday. Deal or no deal was in atrium for our sailing. CD told me that theater was to only be used for shows on BA. This was the only complaint we had about the entire cruise. Atrium is not a good venue for these types of things. Too small. You have to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to get a seat and it gets packed.
AEckhardt Posted March 16, 2015 #16 Share Posted March 16, 2015 We played it on the Gem in September. My bf got called on stage ( it was in the theater with a pretty good turn out) and won $300!

Susie51 Posted March 16, 2015 #22 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Played it on Pearl in Dec, in the theater. Lots of people playing.
LadyShiva Posted March 16, 2015 #23 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Whats the most that can actually be won? Theoretically, one can win $1000. However, figure about $350 if you do really well.
Weluv2cruise2gether Posted March 16, 2015 #24 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Audience members who are playing along on their cards can win free pull tab tickets, free pictures, cash and even a cruise. We play every time we go. We enjoy it. I was even picked on 2 different occasions to play. However, not too lucky. First time my case had $1, second time I took an offer for $200some. All in all it was a fun time for us.
shealea Posted March 17, 2015 #25 Share Posted March 17, 2015 My dh and I have never played deal or no deal, but we sure get a kick out of watching the event. We've seen a couple of folks win a couple of the upper prizes. We've never seen audience players win much. Just free photos, frames, maybe $50 at most. That's it.
