Crown and Anchor Pins

Recommended Posts

Yes, the D+ welcome kit includes luggage tags. However, one of ours broke off after only a couple of flights, so I don't think anyone is missing much if they don't have them.

We had the same problem with one of ours on one of the first flights. I solved the problem. Now I tuck it under the Cruise Critic luggage strap:p Our suitcases are easy to spot; purple luggage, yellow CC strap and a big green and yellow flower on top.

Wear your pins and imagine that you have military rank. Like below for US Navy and Army/Air Force/Marine Corps officer rank equivalents:

Gold (1st Cruise) = Ensign / Second Lieutenant

Gold = Lieutenant Junior Grade / First Lieutenant

Platinum = Lieutenant / Captain

Emerald = Lt. Commander / Major

Diamond = Commander / Lt. Colonel

Diamond Plus = Captain / Colonel

Pinnacle = Rear Admiral (Lower Half) / Brigadier General

Of course, non-C&A members are merely enlisted and non-coms. ;-)

Really? Uh, no

Funny chat. I actually spotted a few of our pins, still on the cardboard yesterday while rummaging through the junk drawer looking for a AAA battery. I appreciate the gesture and recognition of our loyalty by RCI, but we've never worn them on the ship.

Of course, my military rank equivalents suggestion is a lark. But some might think that they have 'rank'.

The only pin I wear on-board is my Rotary pin. I never wear my collection of C&A level pins.

Oh good. For a minute I though of practicing my salute. Now which C&A level needs to salute first? And where do the ranks fall into the shipboard officer levels?

Hmm, I turned 'platinum' (much like my hair slowly is) on my last trip on Liberty in June last year - but never got a pin...

Shall drop the C&A team an email.

If C&A can't help you, try speaking with the Loyalty Ambassador on your next cruise.

You probably did, We got Gold Pins before RC changed the C&A Levels. When they added Emerald, they stopped giving out Gold Pins. We still have our Gold. Our Platinum pins were in our stateroom waiting for us on our first cruise after obtaining that level...had to see the LA for our Emerald ones.

Pete

Thanks, glad to know I wasn't losing my mind. [emoji3]

It looks like your platinum pin is actually a metal pin. Ours we received in February are gray plastic. Still - we have a platinum pin. On to the next level!!

We have never gotten our pins delivered to the cabin :-(. We've always had to ask the LA on board. We just made Diamond, two cruises ago. Was hoping for the in cabin delivery, but noooooo :). We will go to the LA on this next cruise and request, as usual.

Like most of you, we never wear them, there is a special spot in my jewelry box for them, but dad gum... We earned (paid for) the darned things! :o

Our Platinum pins were waiting for us in our stateroom on our last cruise. It was our first cruise since attaining Platinum. I tried on the previous cruise to get Platinum perks since we actually turned Platinum during it - they said no ( We did enjoy our balcony discount and robes this time :D

Cathy and I received our Platinum Pins first day of our last cruise. Very nice Little pin and it made a good tie pin for one of my longer ties :) We also enjoyed the robes and will even more so when we do out 10 day Alaska Cruise tour next year.

That is good to know about Platinum pins should be in my room next cruise. Looking forward to slowly starting my collection

Don't count on it, I had to phone C&A, they were very apologetic, and we have nice metal pins, no plastic.

Yes, they were metal. It seems C&A is going cheaper now. Sad to hear, considering that it's such a small trinket for loyal cruisers.

Funny this is the only "perk" that we have gotten every time without even asking :)

We had our platinum and emerald pins waiting for us on our first cruise at each level, watch I just jinxed myself on the diamond pins next year !

Robes ... never gotten them without making a point of asking.

Onboard discounts ... almost always seems to be screwed up somehow.

Balcony discounts ... almost never combinable with "whatever" deal we have.

Pins ... check ... sitting in a box at home :)

Thanks for the heads up, if I don't seem them by day 2 I will ask about them. I am no rush to get them. I like collecting stuff like that. Hopefully by retirement in 30 years I will be at least Diamond Plus :).
