$10 minimum bets for roulette now standard on carnival?

I have played a couple of chips on roulette. Red or Black only. 50-50 chance. lol

I could never pick a number and have that number come up, in a 100 yrs.

My games are the slots. Love them. I like the penny slots. Don't bet much, just like to stretch out my money, and have fun. Don't win much, and don't ever expect to. Just want to enjoy a couple of hours at a machine.

But, have noticed last 2 cruises, they have blocked off playing the smaller bets. Forcing you to bet 50 cents, or some even more, per pull.

I hope the tables are $5, it the only game I like to play.:(

I'm with you! Not a big gambler here, but I play $20 a night at Roulette. I was on Elation in Feb., $1 chips, $5 minimum. My son will be on the Freedom early September. I'll have to remember to ask him.

 Bobbi

Oh I am so glad to hear about $1 chips and $5 minimum on Elation. We sail next month and that will be awesome. On our April 8-day Sunshine cruise it was $2 chips and $10 minimum. It just wasn't nearly as fun. It doesn't seem like it should make that much difference, but for some reason it does. Hoping the shorter cruises will stick with the lower minimums.

I HOPE THE ROULETTE TABLE HAS A FIVE DOLLAR MINIMUM This is my game i love to play. But ten in a single spin is too much. And i will not play. I will be on carnival glory and also on the allure of the seas. Hope they reconsider this 10. minimum . If i am out i am sure many people will be. I love to play.

You know you revived a 2-year-old thread, right?

It seems to vary by ship.

If interested in a particular ship, I bet you could send a message to the Players Club and ask. I'll be on Ecstasy at the end of August. Last time I sailed from Charleston (on Fantasy) was almost 4 years ago, just before I started going on mostly Premier cruises and my last Fantasy-class ship. And when I just played slots. I didn't start playing Roulette until my first Premier cruise since I received cruise cash. I'd always wanted to try it and figured it was house money, so why not give it a try.

My success (or lack of) has varied considerably. I'm a very conservative player (usually splits and rows) but if I'm up, I'll throw down 1 whole chip on a favorite number. On very rare occasions, it's actually hit!

Last cruise, on HAL, a woman was putting down huge piles on many numbers on each spin. Sure, she was way up one night but before you knew it, she'd blown through all her black chips and was back to buying $100s at a time. Hey, but I bet she received a "free" cruise offer afterward, right?

Not me! If I had that much money to blow while cruising, I'd be on a luxury cruiseline and staying out of the casino altogether! ;p

Does anyone know if the blackjack tables are raised to $10 minimum as well?

Thanks, Terry

Depends on the ship.

I've been on ships where the lowest BJ table was $10.00, but 2 months ago on Liberty there were several $6.00 tables.
