Steakhouse reservations (when will they confirm)?

I requested a date and time for Steakhouse reservations a few days ago. I was told I'd get an email confirmation. Can anyone tell me how long it takes for that confirmation to come through?

I recently made reservations for my cruise next summer. I got an email confirmation in 2-3 days.

 

Keep in mind that this is not an automated reservation system and requests are manually inputed, so it may take more or less days depending on how quickly the Steakhouse Manager for your specific ship gets to your request.

I got my confirmation about 2-3 hours after submitting my request, Make sure you check your junk mail if you dont hear back in a day or so.

Mine came from both the Magic and Glory in 24 hrs.

I got my confirmation the very next day via email.

My reservation confirmation for the Dream took several days. My reservation for the Glory came in a couple hours. I would only let a week pass before checking or trying to rebook the reservation.

My res. confirmation e-mail for the Breeze steakhouse (sailing in Jan 2017) came through in about 24 hours.

Last year for the Splendor, mine took 3 and a half weeks. Requested on 5/4/14 and got confirmation on 5/28/14.

My email confirmations came within a day or two.

Mine for the Magic was confirmed from "mcsupper@carnival.com", which is the same Email my Chef's Table reservation was sent and confirmed from.

Ours for the Liberty came two days after the initial request.

Do you have to pay in advance when you make the reservation?

I'm guessing it is added to your sail and sign account but I don't know....

Ours on the Magic 11/8/15 was confirmed in just a couple hours.

No. You sign the receipt (check) after your meal. Just like you would using a credit card in a restaurant. It then comes off your S&S account.

It on took a couple days from Dream. They E-mail back that the time slot I requested was full & offered my an alternate time which I accepted. Once I Emailed back only took a couple hours.

I got my confirmation in 2 days (Carnival Dream).
