Unusual Ft. Lauderdale sailaway

It's unusual to see one Cunard ship in an American port but two on the same day is unheard of!

Peter,

Why do you call her Icky Vicky?

Only QM2 in Port Everglades today. That other photo of QV must have been from another day.

QV got the nickname "Icky Vicky" mainly because of her rather brown decor. She is still a lovely ship and better than any of the HAL Vistas IMO.

QV is at Port Canaveral.

Thanks for the explanation about QV.

I see that she is scheduled to leave at 6 PM.

We will be eating dinner at that time.

So I will miss her sail away.

I'm headed to a friend's room at Pier 66 hotel so the perfect spot to watch her sail away ... with a good bottle of wine of course!

We have had three Cunard ship in New York at the same time - twice! :)

That is a nickname she got amongst Cunard fans; they did not like her in the beginning. She wasn't the QE2 or QM2.
