Royal Suite Class program - Roll Out Date?

Recommended Posts

do you think if you are traveling with non start class folks that they can check in with you? we are a group traveling together as most people are. I would hope they wouldn't break us apart.

Depends on port personnel. If two people are in a suite and 20 are not, then they probably would not let the non-suite people in the suite area. If you don't want to be broken up, then the simple solution is to stay with the non-suite people, the difference is maybe 10 minutes in boarding time.

Question : did your set sail pass indicate Star Class? Printed mine tonight and it only said Suite and had my SL category. Seems like there should be some Star designation ?

No it did not but honestly not needed. Show up at the suite door. Immediately there someone checks your cabin number on their list which says Star. That's where they call your genie and direct the to you or if not in star send you to sky/sea lane (directly to left of sky lane)

When you say "suite door", is it obvious that there is a door specifically for suites that we should be looking for? is it obvious?

Since we're 17 days from our Allure sailing and I have yet to receive any star class associated information or emails, I decided to go ahead and book (pay) for our dining for the week. I was amazed that it came to nearly $900 - but pleased regarding the fact that it should be refunded once onboard. I'm guessing as OBC ?? (Casino, here I come - lol)

As long as they're picking up the tab, I booked two evenings of wine pairing meals (different menus I believe) at 150 Central Park, the Chef's Table, a couple trips to Chops, and then have Samba and Izumi to round it out. :)

That's not good! Specialty bottled water is listed under the amenities for Sea, Sky and Star Class. One bottle is hardly an amenity. I'm not sailing until next month so maybe we'll get a definitive answer by then!

This is confusing. Every full suite always gets one bottle of water. (that glass Evian bottle) so then no change??. I was hoping to get unlimited bottled water in the cabin. I know I can get a bottle in the SL but why should I have to go there to get it?

I think I read it somewhere before that there are reserved area for suite guests?

We will be in Star class and I know my parents love to visit Windjammer to see and try the variety of food. I just hate to have to chase down a table when its overly crowded.

Thanks!

There is.a roped off section for suites as you enter. The attendants will direct you there.

Our DD would not sit there. She felt people stared at her and said it felt like she was in a fish bowl.

Is there now a ropped of section in the WJ for suite guests on Oasis and Quantum Class ships? If so this is new since March.

I was also wondering if this is true on all ships ( we will be on Anthem). When we were in a suite on Navigator suite guests could use the speciality Restaurant next door for seating.

If you have a genie, don't bother reserving ANYTHING. Yes, they can refund you but the genie can make wonders happen when it comes to reservations. We have not booked anything at all ourselves letting Daniel do it for us. All has worked out great for shows,m (including comedy show) and dinners.

It will be VERY clear. It's a door labeled "SUITES". In FLL, it was the last door on the right.

For sure, the Suites door at terminal 18 in Fort Lauderdale is completely obvious. You cannot miss it. I called customer service tonight to get my cruise docs re-issued with all my updates and asked about the Set Sail pass. I was told that for now they will just say Suite and your cabin category.

The roped off WJ suites area must be Quantum class. Since their all day suite lounge CK option is more limited?

I'm still keeping my dinner reservations. We've got too much coordinated with our other friends onboard to risk it. I will definitely use up any OBC of a refund.

I am a bit confused by the various comments being made as some are very different than I have been told by RC. I haVe all my dining reservations for our cruise coming up the beginning of June on Anthem. However, I recently upgraded from Sky class to Star class. Two reps told me that it was best to keep the dining reservations as they are and once onboard I can ask the concierge/guest services and/or genie to have them refunded to the credit card I used for the res. Sounds like others here are talking about getting OBC. Doesn't sound like what I've been told.

Secondly, I am reading various people saying they heard from their genie two weeks prior to cruise and then some say the week before or not at all pre-cruise. I have several things I would like to have some advice/help with to plan ahead of time. Will be interesting to see if I have contact from the genie pre-cruise. How far ahead of your cruise did you hear from your genie? Sounds like huge range of time from all things I've read.

Thanks for advice/thoughts. Swiss

I would be surprised if the ship is able to refund anything to your credit card.

Feel free to keep reservations if you want, but I would just let your genie do his/her job and take care of it for you.

It was SOO nice just at the end of a day making a decision about wanting to eat at Chops and then the next night deciding to do Izumi, etc. Remember you don't even need to do it before you board. Go with the flow and change up plans as you want!

We got our pre-cruise survey about 2 weeks before sailing and contact from the genie himself 1 week before.

Rob, what. Dinning have you enjoyed the most? I know it's subjective but just curios. We'd were thinking of even trying some of the fee places for lunch. Only thing is hubby doesn't want to miss chilled souls from main dinning room we gave seen on some sample menus. Maybe they can bring him a bowl to our room as a pre dinner snack 😍😍

Are you having a great time and do you enjoy star class?!

Just mention to the staff at the restaurant ahead of time (or I guess your Genie) and they will be able to serve you the chilled soups. We haven't eaten in the MDR the last few cruises but have had a couple of our favourites delivered to us in the specialty restaurants.

Wouldn't you know it --- yesterday afternoon, a few hours after posting about no "Star" contact and making my dining reservations the evening prior, what should appear but the questionnaire !!

Glad to hear the comedy show is in the Genie's realm as well, as others indicated it might not be.

THANKS,

Tom
