When is spring break over?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Spring break for most colleges are in March. Public school calendars are all over the place. Some have week after Easter, some have long breaks around Easter. The northeast US generally has the third week of April off. Unless Easter is in the first two weeks of April, those weeks are quieter than the third week. Clear as mud, right?

The quietest weeks are the last week of April, first week or two of May.

Does anyone know when spring break is over or slows down? Thanks

At first we thought it was like the movie GROUNDHOGS DAY, where it never ended.

But now we realize you should be safe almost the whole month of April this year and next.

Then when colleges let out after the first week of May the summer rush starts.

Enjoy, one day we will at this time of year.

Safe travels.

If you schedule for June you should be ok.😄

Canadian colleges do some in Feb while U.S. Are all mostly in March this year. However, you must look at Ga, Fl, and Alabama regular school schedules. Many families cruise during spring break with children. Some Ga schools do not do until April. Good luck

We were originally planning to go on our cruise in March this year, until our TA reminded us about spring breakers. We decided to push it back to mid-April, but it sounds like maybe still too early?

We'll see what it looks like next month on the Allure.

It is generally considered "rolling Spring Break" from about mid-February through the week after Easter.

NYC public schools are the exception to that this year as our Spring Break always happens over Passover - so this year ours is the last week in April. Just when you think it's safe, WHAM! the largest school system in the country gets let loose! :D

(Next year we're the week before Easter and a couple of days after because Passover and Easter link up again like they should. Apparently when we have a Leap Day, the Jewish calendar has a Leap Month.)

Are you trying to avoid college spring break, or k-12?

Our k-12 break is the week of 4/11. The neighboring town has break the week of 4/18.

If you're looking to avoid young kids, I'd say April cruising isn't for you.

 We booked the last week of April to avoid spring break.
