Which Rule(s)/Practice(s) would you like to see changed on your Carnival Cruise

Recommended Posts

you are making assumptions. almost every vaping product can be purchased from 2.4mg of nicotine down to 0mg of nicotine. so someone who is vaping may not be inhaling nicotine either.

Plus it smells a lot better than cigarette smoke. Mine smells like grape. ;)

If you ever go to a show that has a fog machine, you are breathing in basically the same thing...

Make one half side smoking for the people that do Smoke and .want to relax on there balconies without bothering the non-smokers.

Make one dining room formal ,one non-formal

after midnight DONOT let kids run hollering up and down hallways slamming doors......

I understand the frustrations that are behind these suggestions, but some of them would cause problems in the enforcement. The smoking suggestion assumes that there will be relatively equal numbers of smokers and non-smokers on a given cruise (otherwise ships would sail with empty cabins, running up everyone's fares).

The dining suggestion would do little to solve the debate of "how formal is formal" And we'd still have those who refuse to follow the dress code or who resent being told that they cannot use a particular venue. Enforcement would be worse than now.

I agree that kids need to be controlled, but in my experience, late night noise is caused more by ADULTS, usually drunk, hollering, slamming doors, etc

I would like to see one half of the ship (balconies) for smokers, and the other side, non-smoking..... People are still smoking on their balconies, so clearly, this "rule" is not being enforced.

I would also like to see the chair hog rules enforced.

I would like to see the dress code go away. COMPLETELY.

We are living in a much more casual world, than ever. Even in the workplace.

I don't want to go on vacation and feel the need to dress up, just so I can get some lobster.

But there's no way to know as you said

I would do away with the dress codes. They rarely enforce it anyway so why have it?

I would leave the smoking policies as they are now. No one is forced to go into a smoking area, they can go up or down a deck to avoid the smoke if they wanted. The majority of the ship is non-smoking and the smokers need somewhere nice to relax and enjoy a smoke.

Ban perfumes onboard. People complain about smoke. I am allergic to many of the fragrances out there and when someone takes a bath in their perfume and you can smell them 5-10 min after they passed, it is excessive.

I would add the gratuities into the fare, but make it removable if there is a good reason, that can be verified.

I COULD do that......lol

I really just don't get why people get their panties in a ruffle in regards to what OTHERS are wearing.

Aren't we all there to eat and spend time with family and friends?

Again, I hate dressing up on vacation...........

And if I WAS going on Vista, I WOULD pay for the lobster roll and avoid the MDR completely.:D:D

Knock yourself out!!!:D

Once you're sitting down, I wouldn't even know.:D

but since the invitation exists, we'll have to do dinner sometime after the rule change. ;)

and let me ask, do you think everyone you come across on the ship wants to breathe in your perfume.

I actually dont wear perfume on cruises, other than a light dab when I go to dinner in the MDR. Why is it some of you smokers and vapers seem to think your need for your nicotine is supposed to supercede the needs and comfort of all others. You have smoking and vaping areas. Use them. Hell Carnival can expand them and make them bigger and better . but no you should not get to vape those damn things all over the place

I also would add them into the fare, but make them totally nonremovable, period. I dont know what could be a good reason to have them all removed totally. Im sure there are people out there who think" I spent too much on booze or lost it all in the casino and now im broke" is a good excuse to remove them. It isnt

chair hogging, breaking into the buffet line, heavy perfume, farting in an elevator, and so many more things supersede the needs and comfort of others. why do you need to harp on just one thing that most smokers and vapers don't do to begin with.....smoking outside of authorized areas.

you see someone smoking outside of an authorized area, you have a right to complain. if you don't, then give it a rest. remember, there are a lot of other people doing other things that affect someone else's cruise enjoyment other than smoke.

btw, that little dab you use could cause someone else an allergic reaction. maybe you should think about that the next time you put it on.

I don't want to vape all over the ship, but I also don't want to be with the smokers either. I would really like it if we could vape in our rooms and balcony, it evaporates faster than smoke and it doesn't stink like smoke. There is nothing harmful about it. Its water vapor. The exhaust off of a car or even the black smoke from the smokestack is more harmful than my vapor.

I would like to see the stupid dances in the main dining room over, you know darn well they hate doing it making fools of themselves.

Hmmm. The ones I've been with have seemed to enjoy it -- especially if the passengers join in and add to it. This will be my first sailing out of CA, so maybe not having fun with it is a west coast thing?
