Ken at the beach Posted December 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2016 A vodka, rye or scotch package would have been nice. I know they can't offer every thing but a basic selection would have been nice.
CruisinAg Posted December 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2016 Will be interested to see how popular this is and if it gets rolled out fleet wide and with other options. I could see doing something like this, along with the 2 bottles of wine per room, and then just buy drinks ala carte the rest of the cruise. I'm sure if they find it financially profitable they will expand the selection.
jamesboat Posted December 15, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 15, 2016 $40?
39august Posted December 15, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2016 Very interesting and surprising. This will cut into sales of the drink packages which I believe RCI's very high drinks prices are designed to push. Doesn't affect us, but looks like a great step in the right direction for others. 39august Posted December 16, 2016 #12 Share Posted December 16, 2016 As I understand it those ships listed are the ones NOT offering the bottle package. So, yes, this side of the world.
SPacificbound Posted December 16, 2016 #13 Share Posted December 16, 2016 12 ounces of booze and 4 cans of Coke/soda sounds expensive to me for a boring drink.

George C Posted December 16, 2016 #17 Share Posted December 16, 2016 Smart move, read lots of post asking for booze in room, price is not to bad Bombay is a top shelf gin. Hal does same thing, but I will stick with drink package.

WhenIsLobsterNight Posted December 16, 2016 #20 Share Posted December 16, 2016 (edited) A normal shot is 1.5 ounces. You should get 8.45 shots out of a 375 ml bottle. Add in the mixer and it does come do under a $5 a drink. Not a bad deal if one of those two packages is your drink of choice.
