The Ovation has entered the Otago Harbour.

A freighter had to clear the harbour first and then they they came in...

and the Albatross didnt even blink..

Nice weather for a drive into downtown Dunedin.

Btw, it was $15 USD return pp when we were there on the 3rd..

Only problem is that it does not run very often and takes you on a Cooks tour. Great for sightseeing and great if you have lots of time on your hands.

Too long ago to remember, however inexpensive. But I know we researched local busses on internet prior to our arrival.

Did you know that according to some sauces that killing an Albatross is considered a bad thing (superstition) in Navy circles. I just wonder how that flies (or dies) with ole mate ......

Guaranteed disapproval I imagine and we would all know nothing as we didn't study at the Charles Darwin university.

Perhaps Cranberry sauce would be best served with Albatross:p

IT'S FRRRRRREEEEZZZZINGGGG here in Dunedin / Port Chalmers !!!!!

 

Almost got blown away from the lookout over the port

 

The charter buses are going crazy with two ships in today.

 

Disappointing is the public bus timetable - you really really need to know the times - there was one gap of two hours between buses

 

 

Cadbury 4 for $10 blocks -- Coconut you are mine !! (Though they have started selling this one in Oz now)
